• Hand-Made Lamborghini Built In Basement Finally Sees Light Of Day [Custom Cars]

  Seventeen years ago, Ken Imhoff watched Cannonball Run and became so enamored with the Lamborghini Countach in the film, he hand-built his own, in his basement. In what we imagine might be the most Jalopnik build ever undertaken, Ken designed and fabricated his own tig-welded frame, installed a thoroughly massaged 351 Windsor V8 with a ZF-25 5-speed transmission, hand-formed the aluminum body over a meticulously measured and accurate body form, and finished it all off in a beautiful metallic gray. It took Ken 10 years to complete the project, and the results — as you can see both in the gallery and in the video below the jump — are amazing. • Murcie Me, Premier4509 Tweaks The Lamborghini Murcielago [Tuners]

  Though Lamborghini's Murcielago isn't exactly an automobile that needs much improvement, that hasn't stopped people from trying. Japan-based Premier4509 has launched a limited edition body kit for the Murcielago, for those who have $28,000 to spend on what in essence is a carbon fiber bumper, sidepods and adjustable rear spoiler. Wheels and exhaust tips are "coming soon." For a carbon fiber body addition, the touches are nice, avoiding the usual excesses. Of course, if you want to stand out you can just chrome the entire Murcielago like 50 Cent did with his.
