Although we first saw n2a Motors ' Anteros back at SEMA two years ago along with the 789 retro-rod . Well, the custom coachbuilder's got a brand new bag of C6-modified tricks up its sleeve. The custom carmaker's bringing the latest version of the Anteros to the LA Auto Show later this month. This new Anteros hotness is built on the 2009 Chevy Corvette, and as usual, it's got a carbon-composite body that again looks more at home in Cambiano, Italy than Bowling Green, Kentucky. galleryPost('n2aAnterosZ06', 3, 'Z06-Based Anteros'); The new design looks to feature a ZR1-style side scoop design, but unfortunately, due to a lack of rear shots, we've no idea whether the rear gets the same googly-eyed taillights as the last model. n2a's bringing both a coupe and a convertible version of the Anteros, with the black convertible built using a stock 2009 Corvette donor car. The drop-top features the 430 HP, 424 lb-ft of torque LS3 V8 under the hood. The silver...

This photoshopped 2010 Chevy Camaro might be digitally wearing plates from the German tuning shop Hamann Motorsport, it's most assuredly not the real thing. Hamann spends a lot of time customizing the latest and greatest from the likes of BMW, Ferrari, Porsche and Lamborghini into highly-wound cars with names like "Hamann Flash," "Hamann Cyclone" and "Hamann Conquistador," but they're not so much known for tuning cars from Chevy. We think that's all going to change once they see this piece of work. OK, probably not, as this is actually just a poorly done p-shop from a deviant artist with the handle of Morfiuss . When not busy trying to prove Keanu Reeves is "The One," the Croatian p-shops cars — like this Camaro — that will never exist. Especially because everyone knows Hamann's really busy working on a Chevy Aveo for SEMA with a cat-back quad-piped exhaust. We hear they'll be calling it the "Hamann Budget."...

In any form other than the Chevy HHR SS , the too-retro, too-small station wagon "High Heritage Roofline" leaves a strange aftertaste. It borrows liberally from Chevrolet design themes of the fifties, and yet pays no respect to what made them timeless classics. It's a car with a stolen identity. And yet, somehow, when you lop the back end of it off, put a stainless steel bed and a tail gate in there, it looks damn good. Senor htrodblder found this shining example of caminoization at the HHR Club , and we are happy to pass on the coolness on to you — especially since it reminds us of the '51 Chevy 3100 we have back home, awaiting restoration and a fresh 350. galleryPost('hhramino', 6, 'Now It Really Qualifies As A Small Truck');

Who needs a Pontiac G8 ST when you can have a bitchin' camino-ized C4 Corvette ZR-1? Nobody that's who. Fortunately for our still beating hearts, this is not really a ZR-1 turned truck/car — it's an '84 Vette smooshed together with a '91 with custom molds and bodywork to create that smooth Vettamino effect. According to ClassyAuto (misnomer?) this was the brainchild of the original owner of Bayliner Boats and took over $115K to create. Wow, that's camino love right there. We have no idea how up to date their website is, but the sale price at one time at least was a steal at $35,000... cough, cough, choke.... WHAT! galleryPost('corvettamino', 3, 'We doubt Corvettamino is Worth That much'); [ ClassyAuto ]

OK, you thought those purported press photos of the new Camaro convertible for 2011 were wild? Check these out. These shots, again from the always-willing-to-market-themselves folks at Camaro5 , appear to be of the new Chevy Camaro we saw teased in that GM accessory video yesterday afternoon — body kit, ground effects and all. While we're still not sure of the veracity of these shots — especially the photo of the Camaro from behind with the chrome on the wheels all a-gleamin' — they look somewhat credible. Now as to whether or not they look good? That's up to you, the commentariat. So — what say you? Is it real or is it Adobe-rex? galleryPost('2010ChevyCamaroKitSpy', 5, 'Body Kit Says What?'); [via Camaro5 ]

This is the Nelson Racing "F-bomb". It's a 1973 Chevy Camaro which belongs to David Freiburger, Cheif Editor at Hotrod Magazine . David's Camaro has been caged and tubbed, and a 406 cubic inch twin turbo V8 was installed. We were a little disappointed to find out the car only makes 1540 HP and 1527 lb.ft. of torque. That sounds pretty weak for a Chief Editors ride. We're not going to go braggin' er nothin' but a real Chief should be driving around in something tough and manly, like a Jeep Liberty . galleryPost('nelsoncamaro', 6, 'Nelson Supercars 1973 Camaro F Bomb'); At the very least that sucker should be packin' some serious heat like that 2,200 HP quad turbo'd big block we saw a while ago. We kid, we kid, it's likely the F bomb is named appropriately, because with 1527 lb.ft. of torque at your beck and call, that's probably the only word you're going to be able to say. newVideoPlayer("cheetahautorama_jalopnik.flv", 475, 295,""); There's no question that Cobras are cool, even in fiberglass kit form. But you've got to admit that the fiberglass snakes are becoming somewhat common now with all the companies being sued by Carroll Shelby making their own versions of the V8 roadster . So for those seeking an alternative, Ruth Engineering & Racing will be producing kits for streetable Cheetah replicas. The coupes can be fitted with any Chevy powertrain of your choice; this particular one with a 383 stroker. Suspension bits come from a donor C4 Corvette, but the leaf springs have been replaced by independent coil-overs. That means the new Cheetah should be able to tear up a road course, making this not just a cool cruiser, but a tactical trackday toy too. We'll take ours with an LS9.
