Some hear, "yachting cap" and immediately think of Jim Backus and Thurston Howell III. We think Smails. However, a certain recently deceased fashion designer who was once asked to do a job for Ford can also come to mind, as well as the cinematic commander of an undersea boat. That's what happened today among the Jalopnik commenters, prompted by our post on the Audi Q7 Coastline concept. It's a tie! We've had our fun with the Bill Blass Lincoln, and now so has co-COTD BZR offering up these thoughts on the Coastline's, um, destiny: This will surely be the future equivalent of the Bill Blass edition Lincoln Continental, for future Jalops to revel in and blast future proto-punk music through their futuristic ghetto-rigged speakers from future sheets of plywood...
