newVideoPlayer("/transformerscommentary.flv", 494, 400,""); This new video may not be the clearest shot we've seen of the 2010 Chevy Volt , Corvette Centennial Concept , or any of the other GM product-placement-bots on the set of Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen , but what it does bring to the table is behind-the-scenes commentary from real fanboys. The Transformers geeks inform us that Bumblebee, also known as "that muthafuka riiight there," is "the shiiit." You just can't get this kind of insight anywhere else. newVideoPlayer("/PR_carparts.flv", 506, 423,""); If you weren't already aware, Saturn has made a huge effort to place their product all over Project Runway , Bravo's embarrassingly addictive fashion reality show. This week's episode took the idea of placement to the extreme, with the designers being asked to devise clothing made from Saturn car parts. Materials included seatbelts, crushed mirror glass, plastic inserts and lots of patent leather. We won't give away the ending because we know so many Jalopnik readers watch the show with their significant others (or when they're alone), but here's the catwalk. We think the seatbelt jacket is awesome. galleryPost('prorunsaturn', 10, 'The Vue is Grand'); [ Project Runway ]

We caught up with professional drifter Vaughn Gittin Jr. and had him walk us around his Ford Mustang to show us what makes his trick drift car tick. Not only did we get a close-up look at the machine, he even took us for a quick spin around some cones conveniently placed in the parking lot. This was our second time riding shotgun in a drift car — our first was in a JDM Nissan Skyline — and we've gotta admit, even though some may feel drifting isn't a real sport , it's unquestionably fun. Follow the jump for a video of the action. galleryPost('mustangdriftdearborn', 6, 'Mustang Drifting'); newVideoPlayer("/MustangDrift.flv", 494, 290,"");

newVideoPlayer("/Monster-Mower.flv", 494, 371,""); Monster Mower? Why yes, thank you. This beast looks like a creation which leapt, fully formed, from the mind of Home Improvement 's power crazed Tim Taylor. More power! Huge tires! Car smashing burnouts! Yes, yes, oh God yes. Hey let's see if it floats! Yee-haw — it does! This baby is the ultimate fishing platform and mayhem machine all in one. Our inner redneck is squirming with delight, eyeballing the junked riding mower in the back of the garage with a newfound sense of glee. (NSFW soundtrack lyrics) [ ToolMonger ]

var digg_url = 'http://digg.com/autos/Dragons_The_Music_Video'; Rule 34 states that, on the Internet, dirty stuff exists for any conceivable subject. Dragons proves that rule to be true. When we first brought you images of dragons doing their thing last year, we never thought it would grow into the meme it has, but, for good or bad, it looks like they’re here to stay. In their latest form, Sugarfix created a song honoring a dragon’s one true love, so we figured we’d turn it into a music video. It’s after the jump. UPDATE: Note the additional cameo by Gizmodo's Brian Lam! newVideoPlayer("/dragonmusicvideoNEW.flv", 494, 400,"");

newVideoPlayer("/SRT600.flv", 506, 423,""); The folks at Hennessey have finally revealed the quarter-mile time on their mad-crazy Challenger SRT600 — and it's a pretty-stellar-by-Mopar-standards 11.9 seconds, with a top speed of 121 MPH. Although we already knew from our exclusive visit to the Hennessey compound , the Hennessey Challenger SRT600 churns outs 536 HP and 582 lb-ft of torque at the wheels, we'd been waiting to see just how fast it would be. Well, now we know, and we've got video from the Texas-based tuners to prove it.

newVideoPlayer("/JimMeroVIDEO.flv", 494, 290,""); Talking to Corvette ZR1 engineer Jim Mero during our first drive of the car at GM's proving grounds, we asked him about his record-setting lap of the Nürburgring . He told us if you inspect the video , you can see he probably could have shaved at least half a second off the 7:26.4 lap time if he had just taken a few of the turns better. Then, just to prove the point, Mero took us for a lap around the "Lutz Ring" at Milford. Although Mero was going easy on us, we still flopped around like a rag doll through every turn.

newVideoPlayer("/FlameBus.flv", 494, 290,""); We're not so sure this is legal, but the cops were so busy hassling people doing burnouts that they probably didn't even notice the giant flames spewing into the sky from this party bus. By the sounds of it, we'd guess the fire-spitting mechanism was the sort of rig you'd find on a hot-air balloon, but maybe it was just the bartender doing his fire-breathing routine.

newVideoPlayer("/DMCwoodward.flv", 494, 290,""); Many car clubs converge at the Woodward Dream Cruise , but none are quite as impressive rolling down the strip as the DeLorean DMC-12 owners. Not only do they blind onlookers with their glaring stainless-steel body panels, but they also show off their totally rad gullwing doors by driving in formation up and down Woodward with the doors in attack position .

newVideoPlayer("/TurboBuickWoodwardBurnout.flv", 494, 290,""); This guy in his Buick Grand National at the Woodward Dream Cruise clearly hasn't seen our How To Do A Burnout video. If he had, he would've known to pick a better location — one where he wouldn't get in trouble. Then again, maybe that friendly person in the uniform was just giving him kudos. Either way, he seems to have the rest of the steps down pretty well.

newVideoPlayer("/HowToDoABurnout.flv", 494, 290,""); Of course you know how to do a burnout. We all talk a big game when it comes to hoonage, but as we get ready for the Woodward Dream Cruise this weekend, we're sure there's got to be someone out there who might appreciate a simple instructional video. For this lesson, we'll be showing you how to do a burnout with a rear-wheel-drive, automatic transmission vehicle. galleryPost('DodgeCSRT8Burnout', 8, 'Dodge Challenger SRT8 Smokes The Tires For Educational Purposes'); For this example, we'll be using the 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8 , but the essential procedure can be applied to any number of slushbox-equipped RWD vehicles. Once you've mastered the technique, feel free to make your own video to show us all what you've learned. If you'd like some examples, check out our Corvette ZR1 burnout video , or this slow-motion Ford Mustang burnout video . Photo Credit: Alex C. Conley

The video from these Turkish television reporters shows firsthand what it's like to ride along in a Land Rover Discovery while being shot at. They're not sure exactly who it was attacking them in Georgia (country, not state), but we're thinking these guys are just happy to all get out alive. One of them was even shot in the head (!) but evidently it wasn't life-threatening. Does this count as hoonage? Video after the jump. [ CNN ]

Yesterday, we drove the 2009 Corvette ZR1 both at GM's Milford proving grounds and on the road. Even though we can't tell you about it yet (check back Wednesday, August 20th at 12:01 am) we can show you the pictures and take a look at how it stacks up against the competition...by the numbers. Want to know how it compares to the 2009 Nissan GT-R ? What about the Ferrari 599 GTB , 2008 Dodge Viper SRT10 , 2008 Porsche 911 GT2 , Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 and Mercedes McLaren SLR ? newVideoPlayer("/ZR1burnouts.flv", 494, 290,""); Last night we showed you a little tease of our upcoming review of the 2009 Corvette ZR1 coming Wednesday, August 20th at 12:01 AM. Well, we decided not to tease you too much with thoughts of the ZR1s staggering 638 HP 6.2-liter LS9 engine . Without further ado, here's two awesome, all-American, Godzilla-intimidating rolling burnouts on the huge Milford skidpad. But we're assuming you'll still be hungry for more. And we've delivered. While others may give you a whole crapload of crappy pictures, below the jump we have three of the most amazing shots we've yet seen of the ZR1. Enjoy. galleryPost('CorvetteZR1Burnouts', 4, 'The Most Amazing ZR1 Hoonage Ever'); Photo Credit: Alex C. Conley

newVideoPlayer("/ZR1tease.flv", 494, 290,""); We asked you earlier today what you wanted to see — and as usual, we've delivered. Although you'll have to wait just a little bit longer for the full Corvette ZR1 test drive — check back during the wee hours of Wednesday, August 20th at 12:01 AM — we've got a little treat for you tonight. It's a little exclusive to whet your whistle — the very first video of a smokey burnout of the new 2009 Corvette ZR1 . Oh, and Wes doing his best impression of the Stig.
