newVideoPlayer("/WagonerVoltCapitol_gawker.flv", 506, 423,""); We didn't have the video of Wagoner pulling up in the Chevy Volt mule dressed up in the skin of a Chevy Cruze earlier . Now we do. We also have to say, we're pretty happy with how the Cruze looks in motion. Pretty snazzy if you ask us. We'll take ours with a turbo 1.4-liter four-banger rather than the Volt innards and definitely with the "dog-and-pony show" graphics-delete option. Also, we're now told Alan "Boeing! Boeing!" Mulally and Bob "The Builder" Nardelli are seated and Dodd's started flapping his gums. UPDATE: According to CNBC's Phil LeBeau, GM's modifying their request from the gubm'it — they need $4 billion this month and $4 billion in January (from $4 billion in December, $6 billion in March) to stave off the Carpocalypse !

newVideoPlayer("/Star-Trek-Vette.flv", 494, 350,""); It looks like someone's snagged a bootleg of the trailer for the upcoming Star Trek movie off the front of the James Bond flick Quantum of Solace . While Wert may have been focused on the Ford Edge , we noticed the trailer showing a young Captain Kirk driving a C2 Corvette convertible off a cliff in an effort to evade a masked flying motorcycle lawman of some sort. The ever-defiant Kirk bails just as the Vette slides off the edge, saving himself while killing the car. The trailer goes on to show off all the well-known characters from the Trekiverse along with what appear to be a host of new baddies, the ship, and explosions. Come on, let it out — you know that closet Trekkie nerd just let out a silent whimper of excitement. We know, and it's OK, we did it too.

newVideoPlayer("/ChevyVoltReveal.flv", 494, 400,""); As the production-ready 2011 Chevy Volt drove onto the turntable for all to see, as much electricity was in the air as was in the Volt's batteries. GM clearly hopes this will be the start of a revolution for the company, and if the Volt lives up to the hype, it very well may be. As for how it looks? Well, judge for yourself from the video. The proportions are pretty sleek, though vaguely similar to the 2010 Honda Insight and Toyota Prius , but at the same time more distinctive than either.

newVideoPlayer("/CamaroSSVetteZR1.flv", 494, 300,""); This is the first time we've seen both the 2010 Camaro SS and the 2009 Corvette ZR1 sharing track time, though the video leaves us a bit confused. Yes, the two look great together, and the V8 soundtrack isn't too bad either...except we only get to hear each of the cars sing solo. We were expecting to hear a roaring duet of muscle, but the audio has suspiciously been cut from those scenes. And, is it just us, or have some portions of the video been blatantly sped up? newVideoPlayer("/transformerscommentary.flv", 494, 400,""); This new video may not be the clearest shot we've seen of the 2010 Chevy Volt , Corvette Centennial Concept , or any of the other GM product-placement-bots on the set of Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen , but what it does bring to the table is behind-the-scenes commentary from real fanboys. The Transformers geeks inform us that Bumblebee, also known as "that muthafuka riiight there," is "the shiiit." You just can't get this kind of insight anywhere else. Yesterday, we drove the 2009 Corvette ZR1 both at GM's Milford proving grounds and on the road. Even though we can't tell you about it yet (check back Wednesday, August 20th at 12:01 am) we can show you the pictures and take a look at how it stacks up against the competition...by the numbers. Want to know how it compares to the 2009 Nissan GT-R ? What about the Ferrari 599 GTB , 2008 Dodge Viper SRT10 , 2008 Porsche 911 GT2 , Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 and Mercedes McLaren SLR ? newVideoPlayer("/ZR1burnouts.flv", 494, 290,""); Last night we showed you a little tease of our upcoming review of the 2009 Corvette ZR1 coming Wednesday, August 20th at 12:01 AM. Well, we decided not to tease you too much with thoughts of the ZR1s staggering 638 HP 6.2-liter LS9 engine . Without further ado, here's two awesome, all-American, Godzilla-intimidating rolling burnouts on the huge Milford skidpad. But we're assuming you'll still be hungry for more. And we've delivered. While others may give you a whole crapload of crappy pictures, below the jump we have three of the most amazing shots we've yet seen of the ZR1. Enjoy. galleryPost('CorvetteZR1Burnouts', 4, 'The Most Amazing ZR1 Hoonage Ever'); Photo Credit: Alex C. Conley

newVideoPlayer("/ZR1tease.flv", 494, 290,""); We asked you earlier today what you wanted to see — and as usual, we've delivered. Although you'll have to wait just a little bit longer for the full Corvette ZR1 test drive — check back during the wee hours of Wednesday, August 20th at 12:01 AM — we've got a little treat for you tonight. It's a little exclusive to whet your whistle — the very first video of a smokey burnout of the new 2009 Corvette ZR1 . Oh, and Wes doing his best impression of the Stig.

newVideoPlayer("/CamaroLive_gawker.flv", 506, 423,""); No, you didn't read that wrong. Our sources tell us those idling sounds you hear in the above video received anonymously from one of our tipsters (who we're still waiting for an e-mail back from!) aren't coming from a plain-Jane direct-inject 3.6-liter V6 engine. Nope, apparently the new Chevy Camaro painted hot rod red shown to journalists in Metro Detroit last night had either the big 6.2-liter LS3 V8 and its whopping 422 HP. That's enough power to take the Camaro SS around Germany's famed Nurburgring with a time of 8:20 . How do we know it was the LS3 and not the new Active Fuel Managed L99 V8 with the same displacement? Well, this particular Camaro's got a manual transmission. So yes friends, this is the 2010 Chevy Camaro SS — dressed up as a 2010 Chevy Camaro RS . Yeah baby, it's a sleeper! Nice. Also, see if you can spot Jalopnik 's fearless leader for some bonus points...

newVideoPlayer("/2010ChevyCamaro_gawker.flv", 506, 423,""); Well, first driving video of the production version of the 2010 Chevy Camaro , anyway. Sure, there's been two-and-a-half years of spy photos, videos and what have you, but here's B-Roll of the real deal. It goes like a nice Chianti with the leaked photos revealed on Friday, some fava beans and the live reveal you'll see here tomorrow afternoon at 4:00 PM. Sure, we wish there were some sounds of the new Chevy Camarro to go along with the video. Unfortunately, some silly site* we liberated this GM PR video from (its from an 800-lb consumer site with the inside line on how to get video from Chevy) decided to do a voice over instead of giving enthusiasts the chance to really here that Camaro purr. Bad consumer site, bad! Whatever. Anyway, hit the jump for our galleries on the new muscle car from the General. galleryPost('2010CamaroProdRed', 9, 'Camaro Blushes'); galleryPost('2010CamaroProdYellow'...

newVideoPlayer("/2009_CorvetteZR1_gawker.flv", 506, 423,""); We'd heard the long-lead media "drive" for the 2009 Corvette ZR1 was yesterday and it looks like the first in-car driving footage is now out on the web, less than 24 hours later. We obviously weren't there, primarily since we'd heard it was all magazines there. Frankly, we just don't need as much time as the glossies to put out a good story. We don't have character blocks to set in the printing press, no ink to squirt out and no parchment to unroll. So we guess it makes sense that we wouldn't need an invite to an event this far out. Of course, we also expected the invited media reps from the big n' bad buff books would, you know, drive the cars themselves. Instead, we're treated to GM test engineer Jim Mero — we think — driving one of the invited journalists around the road course at the General's Milford Proving Grounds. We know Mero's a pretty...

newVideoPlayer("CitroenAveoTransformer_gawker.flv", 494, 350,""); Whether it's a C4 on top of a parking garage , the same C4 showing off a penchant for ice-skating or a Chinese man just looking to score with the ladies , Citroens like to transform. In fact, so much so they've already been made fun of once before in a faux ad for the 2CV . But now another automaker's getting into the act in a new ad from the brand all about the 'merican revolution in a commercial for the new Kalos-replacing five-door hatchback Aveo econo-box . That's right, Chevy — the very last brand you'd ever expect to be knocking a badge for advertising their love of cars that transform into robots. We're guessing someone at Chevy's ad agency may have forgotten Chevys like to transform too — heck, they even have a toy version of the Aveo named " Swerve ." Talk about the heights of hypocrisy. Unless Chevy's just making fun of Citroens for dancing...

We know you've seen the 2010 Chevy Camaro plenty of times by now, but trust us, you haven't heard it quite like this. It must be the fanboys at Camaro5 's response to Lexus trying to steal the spy video thunder with the LF-A video from earlier. Because thunder is exactly what the Camaro's big 'merican V8 sounds like as it races around the famed German track. The video is over six minutes of rumbling goodness, so you might want to let it load a bit before watching. Ooh, and look, a Pontiac G8 GXP was there too. newVideoPlayer("camaroblackdriving.flv", 475, 376,""); While yesterday we showed you the first spy photo of a purported 2010 Chevy Camaro SS , now we've got some video of the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro driving around in that slick black paint we've seen spy photos of it wearing . Ok, so it's no Camaro SS but... ...we're still of the impression black is the best looking color we've see so far on the General's modern reinterpretation of the muscle car. Though maybe that's just because it hides the ugly of those headlights which we're still hoping, praying and believing are strictly for the pre-production version and not so much for the showroom. newVideoPlayer("backupforward_jalopnik.flv", 463, 387,""); Now that it's so cheap and easy to create and share videos, local car dealerships are flooding web2.0 video applications with their own brand of boring, homemade advertisements. In our search for topical video content we come across hundreds a day. So it says something that this ad from a Chevy dealership in North Carolina caught our attention. The woman in the ad emotes with the kind of energy reserved for community theatre in Wyoming and the script was likely written by someone taking a break from developing Jeep slogans . "Back up, pull forward, back up, pull forward. AHHHHHH!"
