While we're excited for the 2010 Chevy Camaro SS , the reveal yesterday was rather undramatic, taking place at an event held at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway called the 2008 IndyBash. Yeah, and as expected, it was filled with all sorts of surprises — like — um, OK, so there weren't any surprises. What should we expect from the reveal of the "SS" version of what may quite possibly be the most over-exposed and vehicle in the history of the automobile? Not much, wethinks. So, on that level, the reveal met expectations. But, if you're interested in seeing the car up close — again — for the umpteenth time — check out the gallery below. Many thanks to the folks at the Camaro5 forum for snapping all of them for your viewing pleasure. galleryPost('CamaroSSIndy', 12, 'Chevy Camaro SS Revealed At Indy'); [Photo Credit: Camaro5 ]

newVideoPlayer("/CamaroSSVetteZR1.flv", 494, 300,""); This is the first time we've seen both the 2010 Camaro SS and the 2009 Corvette ZR1 sharing track time, though the video leaves us a bit confused. Yes, the two look great together, and the V8 soundtrack isn't too bad either...except we only get to hear each of the cars sing solo. We were expecting to hear a roaring duet of muscle, but the audio has suspiciously been cut from those scenes. And, is it just us, or have some portions of the video been blatantly sped up? That's right folks —never mind the ad supplement , or the leaked pictures — now the first official press photo — or press rendering, we guess — of the new Chevrolet Camaro SS was just revealed on GM's Media site. We can't seem to find any other press release or official documentation accompanying it. But whatevs, we're just pleased as punch Chevy finally showed us what the new up-powered Camaro with the 6.2-liter V8 engine . Well, now that the strip tease is finally over, we guess we can all now sleep easy. Click here for the high-resolution picture.

We're expecting official images of the ever-pending 2010 Chevy Camaro SS any day now, but the various photo shoots ahead of that day have yielded at least one gallery of good ones. An AutoInsane reader managed to get into a shoot and take some really great photos of the latest Chevy super sport. As we saw when Fergie showed off the Camaro SS , it looks a lot like the concept but with some real rearview mirrors and actual badging. galleryPost('camarossprod', 6, 'Unofficial Camaro SS Pictures'); [More at: AutoInsane ]

The first official image of the production-intent 2010 Chevy Camaro SS debuted in a Conde Nast magazine ad supplement called "Fashion Rocks" aside some singer we seem to remember used to be in the Black-Eyed Peas. This makes way more sense than dropping it into say, a buff book or, you know debuting it online like every other car these days. But, although the SS looks similar to the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro we saw revealed live in Detroit recently, there are some tell-tale differences. The mail-slot air intake on the top of the front fascia is real — which is to say there's an opening. Then of course there's the "SS" badge in the grille. Also, the front brake rotors are the 14-inch size with some big Brembo calipers. OK, so pretty much Fergie's Chevrolet Camaro SS looks exactly like the concept Camaro save the realistic sideview mirrors so, you know... surprise! [ Edmunds Inside Line ]

Alright, so there's this guy, Harvey Spivey, who's an efficiency expert. He lives the typical suburban life: wife, two kids, dog, minivan, self hatred. Basically, he's the total opposite of Edward Albright, a 2010 Chevy Camaro SS driving, multilingual, lethal operative. But get this: they share the same body . Whoa. galleryPost('myownworstenemy', 3, '2010 Chevy Camaro SS On Set'); If you're thinking this sounds like a great idea for a TV show, you're not alone. It's coming to NBC this fall starring Christian Slater. Knight Rider might have some competition. Revealed also are some more closer-up details of the new Camaro SS than those we were able to discern from the shots we saw of this very same Camaro SS on set of the new show . Check out the super thick A Pillar, blacked out grille and the centrally mounted hood scoop. [ My Own Worst Enemy via Camaro Z28.com ]

There's been a whole mess of back n' forth over the front grille markings of the purported production 2010 Chevy Camaro SS photos we posted earlier today. There's been some sort of forum fan-boy Civil War going on at 5thGen.org and Camaro5 with some mullet-heads jumping on the "Z28" bandwagon and others steadfastly sticking to the "esh-esh" chrome story. Well, there have to be winners and losers in everything. So those of you who may have thought it was a "Z28" will be forced to shave their mullets and turn in their A-frame t-shirts. Because my forum friends, as you can see above, that grille definitely says "SS." Still, we're happy to see the forums come through with the win yet again. God we love those guys. Oh yeah, sorry — in all that Transformers Corvette concept and Z28 hubub, we forgot to show you these camera phone shots taken by a forum fan-boy over at Camaro5 of what's purportedly yet another shot of a pre-production 2010 Chevy Camaro SS. Jeez, all these Camaros with their bow ties — they all look alike. Wait a second — a bow tie? This isn't a pre-production car — it's a production car ! The shooter supposedly caught it on the set of a TV show with Christian Slater. No idea what that's all about. But check out that picture below of the "SS" from the back — are those air holes for a shunt in the rear bumper? Is that a clear brakelight in the rear window? Nice. Seriously, how much do we love the guys over at Camaro5 ? [via Camaro5 ]

The hotted up 2010 Chevy Camaro SS version of Bumblebee was snapped either running from, or leading whatever 'bot the Chevy Beat will be playing on the set of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen today in Philadelphia. Hopefully they don't run into the NYC 2009 Renault Laguna Coupe , because we're pretty sure the Renault would be a Decepticon, and nobody wants to see giant transforming robots fight. Oh wait. ( Thanks Rueben )

We found one more full frontal shot of Bumblebee dressed up in his new alt-mode form of the 2010 Chevy Camaro SS — so why not leave you with one more opportunity to stare at his newish-looking nose. [via Transformers Live ]

newVideoPlayer("Bumblebee1.flv", 494, 371,""); It might be from a low-quality cameraphone, but here are the first images of the brand new 2010 Chevy Camaro SS -bodied Bumblebee from the upcoming Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen movie. In addition to the side shot we saw yesterday , this new shot gives us some full frontal muscle car action via a much improved look at Bumblebee's newish nose — which may very well be actual SS styling. And then there's the video — we can barely make out the sweet up-powered Camaro engine music. But the taste is all we need. We know you've seen the 2010 Chevy Camaro plenty of times by now, but trust us, you haven't heard it quite like this. It must be the fanboys at Camaro5 's response to Lexus trying to steal the spy video thunder with the LF-A video from earlier. Because thunder is exactly what the Camaro's big 'merican V8 sounds like as it races around the famed German track. The video is over six minutes of rumbling goodness, so you might want to let it load a bit before watching. Ooh, and look, a Pontiac G8 GXP was there too. Some say he was once a victim of American "friendly fire." Others say he used to be a GM engineer until Bob Lutz rubbed him the wrong way. But all we know is, he's called "The Stig" — or maybe it's his fat 'merican cousin — and he appears to be taking the new 2010 Chevy Camaro SS out for a 'ring run. Wait, what? That's right, although we knew the 2010 Chevy Camaro had taken to the Nürburgring earlier this week in what we've been told is das SuperSport (or because it's Germany does the "SS" mean something different — Super Auto Motor und Sport , perhaps?) mode (check out the Brembos), we didn't know they'd be taping an episode of "Gear" at the same time. But how'd the Camaro handle? Well, check out the full and slightly skinny-on-details description from the spy shooters at KGP below the jump. galleryPost('CamaroStig', 6, 'Stiggie Takes To The Ring In American Muscle'); The Camaro...
