As we continue to wait for the Audi TT-RS to debut, details and shots of the ÜberAudi roadster continue to appear, including these clear images of the Audi TT-RS captured by the KGP photographers. It has all the markings of an RS Audi, including the large front intakes and dual oval exhausts. As for motivation, there's probably something larger than the turbo 2.0-liter four found in the TT-S underneath the bonnet — possibly the new 3.0-liter TFSI V6 or the Passat R36 3.6-liter V6? Either way, we can now say for sure there will be an open-top version. Speculation and spy report below the jump. galleryPost('audittrs109', 5, 'Show Us Your TTs'); Spy Report Audi's hottest-ever TT — the upcoming TT-RS — will also be offered as a drop-top, and we just caught the cleanest prototype yet running on public roads near the Nürburgring. The TT-RS' gaping front intakes, upgraded wheel, tire, and brake package, and unique dual-oval exhaust tips separate the...

Audi must've rented the 'Ring for the day, since we first got a glimpse of the R8 V10 and now we see a unique TT. With so many variations of Audi's sprightly TT coupe running around, sometimes the differences can appear minor at first. Take these pictures gathered by the folks at Bridge To Gantry of what appears to be an Audi TT-S . But look a little closer and you'll notice the 12-spoke RS-style wheels and ovular exhausts instead of the two dual-pipes on the TT-S. If this is the Audi TT-RS, what's it sound like? galleryPost('audittrsbtg', 2, 'Brucetastic'); According to those on the scene, it wasn't the register of a five-cylinder engine but rather the "thrum of a cliche-smooth V6." Could this mean the rumors of Audi taking the 3.6-liter V6 from the Passat R36 and trying to squeeze it into the TT were true? We're not sure, but like Fox Mulder: we want to believe. Audi's apparently taking the TT Clubsport Quattro — the same show car we spotted looking much more production-like earlier this month — to the Wörthersee Tour. That's the same Tour we could make neither heads nor tails of a few days later when Audi revealed their A3 TDI Clubsport Quattro concept . At least now we understand why we're seeing the Clubsport Quattro's exterior aluminum und shteel looking a little less concept-like and a little more prêt-à-porter, it's the interior that's got us flummoxed. Audi's thrown caution, and apparently "shteel," to the wind. The interior of the new for-show version of the TT Clubsport Quattro? It's made in that typical Audi fashion — heavy amounts of aluminum — und — und — orange ? Ja, mit orange. Can you imagine what the job of vetting an Audi press release translation must be like before they go out? "Hans, that does not sound like what you think that sounds like!"...

Our long national nightmare is over — the men of the four rings have announced the Audi TTS will be coming to America. Yep, it won't be long now until the 2.0 liter turbocharged four with its 265 HP and 258 lb.ft of torque will be showing off it's 4.9 second zero to sixty times in the bougie neighborhoods of your fair city. The king of all TT's also gets a set of paddle shifters, magnetic ride gizmos, 18" wheels and the snazzy xenon and LED headlights — how's that for one-upping the Jones's. Expect to see the royal TTS in Audi dealers in the fall. [ CarScoop ]

When you're living in a former iron curtain nation and sporting a last generation Audi TT, you're probably even more likely to suffer from German car driver syndrome. We're betting this driver suffered from a serious case and overdrove his abilities. Or it could be the fault of the VW driver, who knows. We can't really tell what happened here, but we can sit in wonder at the spectacular carnage unleashed upon these automobiles. galleryPost('aduittcrash', 6, 'Lithuanian Audi TT Accident'); [ Autoplay in Russian ]

newVideoPlayer("pointless_TTS.flv", 463, 387,""); Okay, apparently whoever is doing the new ads for the Audi TTS is phoning it in, cause we have no idea what this commercial is trying to tell us. Is the TTS meant for periodic jaunty high speed runs in dry lake beds only to return for the awesome scenery? Perhaps the vaguely homo erotic undertones and selection of that sexy red paint is an attempt to target the elusive and lucrative gay market. Does the ad have a point? Is Audi actually trying to evoke something here? Doesn't seem like it.

We've now got the official scoop and pics of the Audi TTS Roadster & Coupe that broke through the embargo shields on Tuesday, sans that horrible watermark from Motorpasîon . Confirming what we'd heard, the Audi's will get the more potent 2.0-liter Turbo FSI four banger good for 272 horsepower. This will give them a 0-62 time between 5.4 and 5.6 seconds for the coupe and roadster, respectively. They'll go on sale in the UK sometime around mid year. galleryPost('audittscoupenow', 6, 'Audi TTS Coupe'); galleryPost('audittsroadstnow', 6, 'Audi TTS Roadster'); Audi TTS Roadster & Coupe • New even higher performance version of acclaimed TT sports car available in Coupé and Roadster body styles • Debuts at the North American International Auto Show on January 13 and is expected to open for UK order in mid-2008 • Powered by an extensively modified version of the 2.0-litre Turbo FSI petrol engine delivering 272PS and peak torque of 350Nm between...
