Some SUV buyers tend to feel that they're captaining the dreadnoughts of the road, impervious to all harm and thus free to futz with cupholders and electronic gadgetry rather than pay attention to traffic signals. In this incident in Texas- which, fortunately, did not result in any major injuries- a Chevy Tahoe was T-boned by a Mini Cooper and flipped right over. LeMons Neon racer and Enzo rejuvenator Matt Groner sends us these photos and a description of the wreck written by his friend, who was behind the wheel of the Mini: These pictures were taken by one of the firemen who were called to the scene, with his camera phone. The officials who responded to the accident could not believe that the Mini (and I) sustained so little damage. The other vehicle involved is a Chevy Tahoe. I was driving south on a one-way street and the other driver was driving west, also on a one-way street. The other driver ran a red light (that had been red for a long time) and appeared in the intersection just...

We're beginning to wonder if Google Street View is somehow causing these accidents. We saw the awesome Audi Q7 versus Range Rover upside-down cake near the Phoenix Country Club a couple of weeks ago. Now we're seeing another one a mere 2.7 miles away. "That's crazy talk!" you say. Nope, there's definitely a case to be made. While the country club crackup was decidedly expensive, this one is a bit more low-rent. Underneath the blazing Arizona sun (which apparently destroyed the front camera element), this Chevrolet Cavalier took a dirt nap after being T-boned by an S-10. You can barely make out the high build quality of the Cav because it's hidden behind the wrinkled roof and the driver still chilling out in the passenger seat. We're also enjoying the "WTF?" look on the burly cop's face when he notices the camera car. [ Google Street View ] galleryPost('googlecrash3', 6, 'Pheonix, Home of the Google Street View Crash');

Moose are proving to be the bane of the open road roadway. Before they were just eating our cars , now apparently they are committing auto-assisted Seppuku . After seeing those gloriously gory photos of a BMW being outfoxed by the local wildlife , reader Jeffrey Schmatz called us dainty little girls and sent in pics of what happens when a Chevy Lumina tangles with a Canadian moose. While not as blood and gutsy, these have more of that wow factor that guarantees dozens of rednecks standing around with PBR in hand spinning yarns about bigger moose and bloodier destruction. Something has to be said about a animal strike that will require a crane to be involved. Again, we'll maintain our demure sensibilities and keep the gallery below the fold. galleryPost('mooseattack', 5, 'Moose Redesign Improves Appeal of Lumina');
