newVideoPlayer("/R8-skid.flv", 494, 371,""); We pulled our best Shia LaBeouf impersonation while watching this video of a driver losing control of his Audi R8 on a Moscow freeway and stuffing it into the wall. If there's any consolation it's that the footage is free from the sound of crunching metal — the kind that haunted our dreams after watching the wrecked Ferrari F430 get dragged away. This Audi A7 mule was spied in Germany, but not ripping up the Nürburgring like you would expect. Rather, it was too busy bouncing off guardrails on a small country road located just off the racing circuit. It appears that the accident didn't involve any other vehicles ( or any biodiesel ), and the driver is said to be fine, but we can't be sure as to whether or not it was caused by a faulty component on the car or old-fashioned driver error. What is clear are the skid marks drawing a line straight into the left side guardrail— and then across the the road to the other guardrail. Looks like he must have been going pretty fast around that rain-soaked sweeping turn. Oh well, at least Audi sent a trailer to drag it back home. galleryPost('auditestcrash', 5, 'Audi A7 Is A Pinball Wizard');

Apparently, the law of equivalent exchange is alive and well, for just as one Ferrari Enzo is rebuilt , an Audi R8 is destroyed... or at least it's really, really waterlogged. These pictures come from the Netherlands, where the straight, flat, canal-lined roads ultimately proved too challenging for the guy test driving this particular R8. That's right, the guy who boogered this one up was testing the car and lost control while driving at speeds up to an alleged 125 MPH. Dutch law calls this a total loss, so we're thinking this is the perfect time to dream up a more gonzo use for the 420 HP, 4.2-liter V8 at the heart of this beast. Now if only someone will get Wert to stop crying . galleryPost('wetaudir8', 6, 'Save The R8s'); [ AutoJunk.nl via Carscoop ]

When a driver walks away from a car looking like it's been turned inside out, you have to take comfort in driving the same car. I look at my own A4 with renewed respect after seeing this one, which was run over by a semi and managed to deliver it's driver from the valley of the shadow of death with some bruises and a cracked collar bone. Someone surviving the accident described below is nearly unbelievable, but then again, someone survived that bonkers RS6 accident , so stranger things have happened. galleryPost('crashya4', 6, 'Seeing the insides of an Audi A4 from the outside'); So here's what happened (and he walked away with a broken collar bone from the seat belat and stitches from metal scraps flying!) he's an aspiring snowboarder and travels back and forth to Mammoth alot. A week ago Friday night he was northbound on the 395 just outside of Ridgecrest. Two semi's (singlefile) are headed towards him, just as he is adjacent to the grill on the 1st...

When you're living in a former iron curtain nation and sporting a last generation Audi TT, you're probably even more likely to suffer from German car driver syndrome. We're betting this driver suffered from a serious case and overdrove his abilities. Or it could be the fault of the VW driver, who knows. We can't really tell what happened here, but we can sit in wonder at the spectacular carnage unleashed upon these automobiles. galleryPost('aduittcrash', 6, 'Lithuanian Audi TT Accident'); [ Autoplay in Russian ]

In what can only be called the worst case of AADS (Asshole Audi Driver Syndrome) ever recorded, Tomas Delgado, a Spanish businessman, is suing the family of a boy he killed while speeding in his Audi A8. The accident caused 14,000 Euros of damage to the all-aluminum luxury car, and Delgado is also looking to cover the additional 6,000 Euros in transportation costs he incurred while the Audi was in the shop. He argues that his 17-year-old victim, Enaitz Iriondo, who was wearing dark clothes while cycling at night, caused the damage while he was in the process of having his young life snuffed out by Delgago's hurtling death chariot. Quoting Mr. Delgado--and please restrain your urge to vomit here: "I'm also a victim in all of this, you can't fix the lad's problems, but you can fix mine." His lawyer, Beelzebub, Esq., offered no comment on the case, which will see an expected verdict on January 30 and perhaps witness the Earth open up to swallow Delgado whole. [via...

It's darn near an epidemic. As unlikely as it may seem, we have captured pictures of another Google Street View accident. Not only is this one more dramatic, it features a much healthier dollop of schadenfreude. Where before we had a random car crash , here we have a double luxo-SUV smash-up featuring the fancy pants Audi Q7 and Landie's Range Rover outside of the Phoenix Country Club. Feel that? That's stereotype humor rocking your socks off. Take solice in that there is still an element of 'WTF?'. Somehow that Range Rover finished the action upside down, and considering the extent of the damage we're surprised to see the occupant dutifully taking down insurance info. This is making us wonder how many Street View accidents there are out there.[ Google Maps ] galleryPost('streetview2', 3, 'Google Street View Carnage');

At least we assume it was the mob. Who else could be so heartless? We suppose that the person behind the crash could have been just any old oligarch. Sadly however, our Russian is as bad as our Greek. Either way, looks like someone's going to need some...
