You have no idea how badly we want to stick about 17 exclamation points at the end of this headline. Yes friends, the new STI is (just about) here and yeah, it's a wagon. Huzza! And for those of you not interested in extra storage space, the wildly named Dual Active Valve System variable valve timing for both the in and the outdoor valves (Dual AVCS) lets the 2.5-liter boxer motor spin out 305 horses and crank off 290 ft-lb. of the torque. Oof, take that ! It doesn't take a doctor of automotive journalism to realize that you don't need Corvette vs. Viper when you got new and improved EVO vs. superwagon STI. Wow... I guess I really am fried, cause the notion of a Viper shooting-brake just crossed my mind. Be sure to check the gallery for the WRC-dressed rally car. And the tailgate pins. galleryPost('stila', 8, '2008 Subaru WRX STI 5-Door');

Dodge VP Frank Klegan just revealed the Ram boys first mid-size crossover, the Journey. Built off the same chassis as the Avenger and Sebring, this station wagon on stilts even sports the same engine/transmission options ranging from ho to hum. All the usual Chrysler bells and whistles are present, like MyGig, 4 power outlets and those heated/cooled cupholders. The killer app? Are you sitting down? You can store 24 cans of beer soda on ice under the back seats. We're not being sarcastic. We really like that feature. As for the rest of the Journey? Let's just say that like the Rubik's Cube motif Dodge chose for the reveal, we're puzzled. galleryPost('dodgejourneyla', 16, '2008 Dodge Journey');

Honda's hydrogen powered family sedan has a new name -- Clarity. Following a decades old corporate mandate, "Blue Skies For Our Children," the mid-size Clarity will (supposedly) return an EPA-certified 68 MPG. The Clarity also will pass federal safety standards, start in minus 22 degree weather and survive trips out to Las Vegas (high heat). Refueling is still a pain as you either need a getting-smaller-but-still-bulky natural gas fired home unit, or live near Santa Monica, Torrance or Irvine. For now. However, the per-tank range is 270 miles. Coming to a Honda dealer near you this summer (2008), Honda will happy to lease you a Clarity for $600 a month. galleryPost('hondaclarity', 8, 'Honda FCX Clarity');
