Scion is known for trying to be hip with the kids, but I have a feeling its latest concept, the Hako, is a couple steps too far, even for the spikey haired, angsty kids of America. Hako means box and this is very boxy, even more boxy than the xB . If you remember, Scion originally teased the Hako Coupe concept two weeks ago , but here she is in all of her ugly glory. Original speculation suggested that this could take the place of the xA, but something tells me that wouldn't fly too well. galleryPost('scionhakocoupeext', 3, 'Scion Hako Coupe Concept Exterior'); galleryPost('scionhakocoupeint', 3, 'Scion Hako Coupe Concept Interior'); galleryPost('scionhakocoupepress', 3, 'Scion Hako Couple Concept Press Photos'); The Hako Coupe was designed by Scion's Tokyo design division and it was supposedly inspired by the emergence of American vintage style among young Japanese trendsetters. If this is American vintage, then I don't know if...

We saw it in the flesh a couple weeks ago and were sworn to secrecy, we revealed the explosion of pics and press release at midnight today, but now we've got live and in the flesh shots of the 2009 Pontiac Solstice Coupe . The targa-topped coupe sure is sleek in its fine new enclosed coupe styling, and there was a bit of the swoon on in the room when it was unveiled. The coupe gets the same Ecotec powertrain options from the original style 2.4L with 173 HP as well as the GXP hoontastic 260 HP 2.0L turbo mill. Its possible we're slightly disappointed GM didn't go all out with T-tops, but beggers can't be choosers. We'll be getting the full compliment of live shots up as soon as we can. galleryPost('2009PontiacSolsticeCoupe', 11, '2009 Pontiac Solstice Coupe with a little Jazz'); PONTIAC UNVEILS 2009 SOLSTICE COUPE Hardtop Extends Appeal of Classic Design NEW YORK - Drawing inspiration from classic sports cars, the 2009 Pontiac Solstice coupe was created...

We'd heard rumors in the past few weeks about Acura bringing some sort of two-door concept car here to the New York Auto Show , but we couldn't actually verify that. We still can't -- at least not until the 9:40 AM press conference. But, as the show floor is now open, we took a quick run around for fun and found the following sheet-covered car. Is it an Acura TSX coupe concept? Is it an Acura TL coupe concept? Are we seeing things? We guess Wert'll find out for certain in a couple of hours.

var digg_url = 'http://digg.com/autos/2009_Pontiac_Solstice_Coupe_Brings_Transformer_Back_To_Life'; You knew him as Jazz before he was so handily destroyed -- ripped asunder, really -- by Megatron. You also knew him as the Pontiac Solstice. But that never quite fit, did it -- because he wasn't a convertible in the movie. Well, now he's been truly revealed as a production model, and most importantly as a coupe -- the 2009 Pontiac Solstice Coupe to be exact. Yes, that's right, the absolutely gorgeous alt-mode of the Autobot recon man's been brought back to live in a fully production targa-topped coupe -- and what else can we say other than we're having a very private robogasm right now -- especially over the lines of this sleek little two-seater. Full press release after the jump. galleryPost('2009PontiacSolsticeCoupe', 11, '2009 Pontiac Solstice Coupe Is Jazz'); PONTIAC UNVEILS 2009 SOLSTICE COUPE Hardtop Extends Appeal of Classic Design NEW YORK...

Well, after the Tiburon-lovers at NewTiburon dropped a hot load of shots of the new 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe over the weekend, some sites (we won't mention any names, MT, don't worry!) were apparently confused over which shots made it out on to the web and just decided to drop 'em all. So, we're just going to follow suit. Here's all the press shots you could ever want -- well, until we get you the live photos on Wednesday at the New York Auto Show . galleryPost('2010HyundaiGenesisCoupeRed', 6, 'Genesis Coupe - Redder Is Better!'); galleryPost('HyundaiGenesisCoupeSilver', 9, 'Genesis Coupe - Silver Sliver'); galleryPost('HyundaiGenesisCoupeInt', 3, 'Genesis Coupe - Interior');

Maybe they'll be changing the name of the "GM display" at the New York Auto Show this week to the "Pontiac display." All we know is they'll be doing a lot of driving excitement at the show. We've already revealed the 2009 Pontiac G8 GXP and more importantly, the 2010 Pontiac G8 "El Camino" sport truck . Now they've accidentally revealed the 2009 Pontiac Solstice Coupe in an ad button on the official Pontiac site -- further confirming what we'd already told you about the targa-topped Solstice coupe . Awww...poor Pontiac. Well, there had to be a misstep somewhere -- and accidentally revealing a hot little tamale like a coupe-roofed Solstice ain't a bad way to misstep. Since we've seen this hard removable-topped coupe in person we can say it's much hotter than the over-pixelated shot above -- with a gorgeous line running from the front of the Jazz -y transformer-wannabe around the coupe-top in the rear and all the way back to the...
