Toronto-based reader Peter found us a Vauxhall Velox in a snowdrift over the winter, and now the warm weather has brought out this mid-70s Alfa Romeo Giulia Nouva Super 1600 from wherever it hides during the extremely un-Mediterranean Toronto winters. galleryPost('DOTSBETorontoAlfaNuovo', 3, 'Alfa Romeo Nuova Super 1600 Down On The Toronto Street');

Now we're going to head west, way west, to New Westminster, B.C., where this Malaise Firebird still makes the ground shake with its 145-horse 305 (or 105-horse Buick V6). Thanks to Anthony , who also brought us the Datsun 710 wagon . Make the jump to read Anthony's description and see the complete gallery. galleryPost('DOTSBENWFirebird', 9, 'Malaise Firebird Down On The New Westminster Street'); Thanks for posting my pictures of the Datsun 710. Attached are the long promised pictures of Jim Rockford's Firebird. This is a 77 or a 78, I don't know which, but I know where Angel hid Jim's car! The car is in New Westminster, BC in the Queens Park area, a neighbourhood of Victorian era heritage homes.

Remember the Datsun 710 ? You still see 510s around, maybe the occasional 610 , and the early Maxima was actually an 810. A 710 sighting, however, doesn't happen every day, so we were very happy when Anthony sent in these excellent shots of a 710 wagon he spotted in New Westminster, B.C. It's rusty, but doing pretty well for such an oxide-prone vehicle in a wet climate. galleryPost('DOTSBENW710', 9, 'Datsun 710 Wagon Down On The New Westminster Street');

Yo, we got to dust these boys off! Whenever I hear the Public Enemy song , I always picture a car pretty much exactly like the Malaise Olds 98 that Schweppes has very kindly captured for us on the mean streets of Windsor, Ontario. Make the jump to read what Schweppes has to say about this fine automobile. galleryPost('DOTSBEWindsorOlds98', 4, '1976 Olds 98 Down On The Windsor Street'); I came home from work today, to find this '76 Oldsmobile 98 moored (parked doesn't feel like the right word) in front of my apartment. Unfortunately, neither my camera, or my ability with said camera can capture the epicness of this car. Still, far more interesting than most of the late-model commuter capsules populating Toronto (I'm waiting on a couple older cars to come out of hibernation though). Incidentally, Oldsmobile's tagline for '76 was "Can we build one for you?" I wish they still could.

Windsor, Ontario-based Schweppes has given us the Volvo 240Chero and the Forward Control Land Rover , and now he's found what appears to be the least rusty 35-year-old street-driven car in all of Canada. Make the jump to read Schweppes' description of this 1973 Mercedes-Benz 250C. galleryPost('DOTSBEWindsorMerc250C', 6, 'Mercedes 250C In The Great White North'); I realize that I have a ways to go before I catch up with Kitt , but here is another DOTS bonus vehicle for you from Windsor, Ontario. Seeing as this poll indicated that the people want to see more '70s Mercedes-Benz products, this 250 C should be fair game, slotting in right after your '72 280 SEL. I spotted this particular car while out taking pictures of intersections for a friend who was putting together a traffic engineering presentation based on a work term he did with the city. It seems reasonable to assume that the elderly lady driving it was the original owner, and that the 1973 Ontario plates...
