Land Rover is celebrating its 60th Anniversary with the special edition Defender SVX model. The iconic new Defender retains a strong resemblance to its 1948 predecessor, yet boasts an array of modern features. More than 25,000 units are produced each year as rugged work horses, however the 60th anniversary SVX special edition model will enjoy its status as the most feature-packed model Land Rover has ever produced. Available as a seven-seat 110 station wagon exclusively in a metallic black finish, each Defender SVX features an individually numbered plaque, a restyled grille surround, tubular side-steps, unique alloy wheels, reinforced aluminium front undershield, clear-lens headlamps and LED reverse/rear fog lights. Land Rover is building a limited run of 1,800 Defender SVX models to celebrate the marque's 60th anniversary. The SVX kit dresses up the Landie with flashier trim on the grille, side steps and roll cage; a swankier set of wheels; special badging and decals; plus interior appointments including Recaros, a Garmin GPS, and that all-important iPod hookup.
