Land Rover is to introduce a range-topping HST variant to its Freelander 2 model, which sees it getting a Sports Styling Pack - à la Range Rover Sport - that's basically bigger bumpers, some side skirts and a roof spoiler, plus 19-inch alloys, blacked-out windows and metallic paint. It's all very obvious really, but with the RRS and Freelander 2 proving so popular, you can see where they're coming from: that + that = a cheaper RRS. It might just be down to the hideous colour options on the promo pics, but we reckon it looks like a Freelander with a nasty Essex bodykit. At least the front does; the rear three-quarter view doesn't look quite so bad.
