A month ago, there can't have been many people saying, "Oh, my life is incomplete without a Bentley-resembling Chrysler , but you know I just can't quite bring myself to get one on account of the lack of soft-feel plastic on the armrests. Come to that, the position of the high-mounted stop-light is impossibly shabby." And so there can't be many people who will rush out to buy one now those things have been fixed. If you were a 300C kinda guy before, you still will be now. If you weren't, this micro-facelift won't have made a whole lot of difference. On the other hand, the jiggery-pokery to the range might change your situation. New prominence goes to the diesels. They're good. It's a Merc-derived V6 with 215bhp and a smooth-ish auto. People have been buying the diesel in big numbers, unlike most of the petrol models, so they've been offed from the range. The only petrol 300C that remains is the entertainingly bonkers SRT/8. (from Chrysler Press Release) The Exclusive STARTECH Program for the New-Generation Chrysler 300C The Chrysler 300C continues its successful existence in an updated version. STARTECH (www.startech.de ) offers an exclusive and innovative customization program for the new generation 300C sedan and wagon. STARTECH sport springs and rear shocks are specially calibrated to the sporty tires and the specific engine installed in a particular model. They lower the ride height of 300C sedan and wagon by some 40 millimeters and result in an excellent symbiosis of agile handling and high ride comfort. The SD6 kit bumps power output of the 3.0-liter V6 common-rail turbodiesel engine from standard 218 hp (214 hp SAE net) / 160 kW to 262 hp (259 hp SAE net) / 193 kW at 4,000 rpm. Even more important for everyday driving is the increase in torque from 510 Nm to 580 Nm (376 to 428 lb-ft), available already between 1,600 and 2,800 rpm. These impressive figures naturally benefit the performance of the Chrysler...

Chrysler 300C Hollywood limousine comes face to face with the oddly similar Maybach Landaulet with every revolution of its turnstile. Like the Landaulet, the 300C Hollywood also features a partially exposed cabin, but this time over the front seats rather than the rears. The fully-enclosed rear passenger cabin is accessed by two large suicide doors and features plenty of leg room thanks to its chassis stretch. There's also a repository for three bottles of Cristal (or whatever bottled spirits you prefer to imbibe) and two flutes in between the seats. Meanwhile, the driver is left to convene with Mother Nature and her elements up front where the interior luxe is decidedly lesser. In fact, the 300C Hollywood limo becomes much more interesting when you look at it through a socio-polical lens. It's clear where the Haves and the Have Nots are supposed to sit, with a nice partition in between them to keep the classes separated. OK, perhaps we should just pop open a bottle of Cristal and...
