This past Saturday in Monterey, Cadillac invited a select group of journalists to see the production version of the CTS coupe. Naturally, cameras weren't allowed inside the Caddy tent to keep images leaking out ahead of the coupe's official unveiling this November at the Los Angeles Auto Show. However, a lack of pictures hasn't stopped InsideLine from going into detail about what the CTS coupe will look like when it rolls onto the stand in LA. According to the report, the coupe is virtually unchanged from its conceptual predecessor, with everything ahead of the A-pillars pulled directly from its sedan counterpart. The massive C-pillars have remained, along with the vertical taillights and steeply raked rear window. Thankfully, Cadillac saw fit to include a back-up camera to make up for the lack of rearward visibility. Production will begin next summer at GM's Lansing Grand River plant, and while GM execs remain mum on engine choices, expect the same duo of V6s available...

We have already reported earlier on spy shots of the new Cadillac CTS Coupe , however this time around our photographers managed to catch a glimpse of its interior. The coupe version is speculated to carry the CTC namesake when it eventually hits production in May next year alongside the CTS sedan at the Lansing Grand River Plant in the U.S. To counter the inherent poor rear visibility, the Coupe version will feature a reversing camera which is not currently found on the sedan. It also deletes the traditional door grab in favor of a new touch pad set up instead. The overall design closely mimics the concept on which it is based, right down to the centre-exiting dual exhausts. © Source: caradvice We need your comments below >>

These exclusive spy shots reveal a glimpse of the new Cadillac CTS Coupe undergoing testing in the US. Despite the heavy camouflage, similarities with the concept revealed at the 2008 Detroit motor show are easily identifiable. Primarily it seems to have maintained its unique integrated centre exhaust outlet, as well as a unique touch pad set-up in place of conventional door handles. The coupé will also feature a backup camera which is not currently found on the sedan. Code-named GMX226, the stylish couple will be built alongside the CTS sedan in May at the Lansing Grand River Plant in the U.S. Although there has been no official word as yet, it is highly possible Cadillac could include this model in its newly introduced Australian line-up. © Source: caradvice We need your comments below >>

(from D3 Press Release) 2008 Cadillac CTS – D3 Performance Exterior Package D3 Cadillac , the leader in Cadillac tuning, introduces the new 2008 Cadillac CTS Performance Exterior Package . The exterior enhancements are not only exquisitely designed styling cues integrated seamlessly, they are functional as well. The front grill has a unique jewel like cut on the stainless steel wire mesh that signifies performance & class. The additional openings in the front allow for a larger surface area to induce adequate cooling for the engine compartment. This is important when you start squeezing more performance out of this engine, as heat is a byproduct of making more power. Not only were the factory brake ducts maintained, but the front fascia also introduces double the cooling by adding an additional brake duct pick ups on each side. Notice the angled lip towards the lower edge of the front fascia. This angled edge has been designed and measured for just the right amount of down force without...

Not long after Car and Driver snagged the first shots of the production Cadillac CTS Coupe , we now have new spy shots showing the coupe's profile and front end, and a few surprises were awaiting us at these angles. For one, this preproduction prototype has no door handles, instead incorporating the same door-opening mechanism used on the Corvette in which the recess for the door latch comes after the door and is completely flush. The Cadillac CTS Coupe Concept also featured this type of door handle, though we honestly didn't expect it to see it on the production version. Also of note that wasn't totally obvious in the C&D images is that the CTS Coupe Concept's fastback profile will make it to production intact. Some, including us, were worried that Old GM could resurface and cost cut the production CTS Coupe to the point that it became the sedan with a longer pair of doors. This doesn't seem to be the case, as the production CTS Coupe appears to feature completely...
