Work is under way to develop the hottest ever version of Ingolstadt’s sports coupe, likely to be badged RS. It promises to be a real alternative to the Porsche Cayman when it goes on sale in late 2008 for around 50 000 Euros . The TT RS will use a 2.5-litre in-line five-cylinder petrol unit, its first five-pot engine in ten years. Early reports indicate that Audi will boost performance to a hefty 350 hp (261 kW) using twin sequential turbochargers. All this grunt will be channeled through Audi ’s permanent 4WD quattro system and a six-speed manual ‘box, though the DSG dual-clutch system will also be available as an option. Expect a sporty styling with bespoke wheels, alloy-effect door mirrors, aggressive bumpers, RS-batches on the brakes and sill extensions. Volkswagen’s new 280bhp (209kW) 3.6-litre V6 petrol engine, lined up for a hot version of Volkswagen’s Passat, will be released at the same time in a more refined form, to replace the 3.2-litre V6 currently powering the range-topping...

(from MTM Press Release) The mtm Bimoto , probably the most impressive vehicle produced by mtm, is based on the Audi TT and is equiped with two four cylinder turbo-engine. Even the starting performance makes overwhelming driving powers possible. Because of further engine-modifications together is a maximum 1000 HP possible. The latest project - the mtm bimoto - is one of the exclusive and extraordinary special vehicles of mtm. Once more it shows that the founder Roland Mayer wants more engine power and perfection. The idea of two engines sounds strange at first, but it has lots of advantages compared with other ideas. To construct a V-8 turboengine for example we would have had to choose a central engine arrangement, which would have required the development of a special and more expensive allroad transmission. For the drive of his two axles the mtm bimoto has two engines and two transmissions. The slightly changed body of the Audi TT hides more than expected at first sight. Both in front...

From the moment we saw it as a concept car in 1995, the Audi TT cast a rather unique shadow. Audi really blew us away as they brought a car to market that was both organic in nature, symmetrical to the eye and bore the name of one of the most exciting road races in history! The Audi TT Roadster is about as unique a convertible as you can get, and once inside you feel like a real open top sports car driver. She handles superbly and rewards you at every turn. So - while there may be harder edged sports cars out there - if you are after a stylish, energetic and definitely individual driving experience then pop out and get behind the wheel of the Audi TT Roadster. © Source: youtube We need your comments below >>

Here’s one Audi TT that’s really mean and roofless! Our spies have the first pictures of the stunning new Clubsport version of the stylish German roadster. The special, stripped-out model boasts aggressive new looks and a powerful 300bhp motor. As you can see, the newcomer is showroom-ready and takes its design cues from the concept that wowed crowds at the Essen Motor Show, Germany last November. As a result, the Clubsport will certainly turn heads. At the front there is a deeper front bumper than the standard car, while bulging wheelarches and deep side skirts feature down the sides. But the big news is above the waistline. Like the classic Porsche Speedster of the Fifties, the drop-top Audi gets a chopped down windscreen and distinctive sloping slide glass. Behind the cockpit are rollover hoops for driver and passenger, while the cover for the fabric hood features eye-catching ‘speed’ bubbles. Underneath the exciting bodywork is a turbocharged 2.0-litre motor from the S3 hatchback, tuned...

The car started its journey in Germany to be painted in custom Lamborghini Gallardo orange. Later the car was shipped to HPA Motosports who built the TT from the ground up. A stock 2008 Audi TT 3.2L V6 produces a total of 250-hp. But with HPA ’s twin-turbo modification, along with a cast-aluminum short-runner intake manifold, dual air-to-air side-mount intercoolers, proprietary silicone boost plumbing and a high-flow fuel-supply system, this orange TT now produces an outstanding 565-hp. The result? 0-60mph comes in at 3.5 seconds while the 0-100mph takes just 8.4 seconds. Transferring the power to the wheels via the S-tronic transmission required some work as well. HPA threw in performance clutch packs and a reprogrammed mechatronic which increased launch control revs from 3000rpm to 5000. All this will cost you about $60,000 in upgrades. However you can now take on that Nissan GT-R without any hesitation. © Source: carversation We need your comments below >>

Loosely based on the TT Clubsport concept , the Audi TT Speedster represents the TT in its purist driving form. Drawing inspiration from the classic drop-top, the TT Speedste r features a pillar-less low-slung panoramic windscreen and roll-over bars which protrude no higher than the sports bucket seats to retain its low stance. If it ever arrives in showrooms, expect Audi ’s venerable Quattro all-wheel-drive system coupled with a 2.0-litre TFSI engine pushing the 220kW mark. The possible small-series production of the TT Speedster is being considered by Audi . © Source: caradvice We need your comments below >>

Prices are out on the hottest Audi TT ever - the 268bhp TT-S, and as you'd guess, it's no steal. We brought you all the details on the lower, harder TT just before Christmas, and today Audi has opened the order book, with prices starting at £33,380 for the coupe. That puts it on the steep side of a three-litre BMW Z4, and that's before you've specced the S-tronic flappy-paddle gearbox, which'll take you beyond 35 grand. Fancy the convertible? That'll be two grand over the coupe, sir. Steep stuff, but don't forget that the TT-S will be quick enough to eat the Cayman S or Boxster S from the lights. It's a fight we look forward to staging later this year. © Source: topgear We need your comments below >>
