(from Fiat Press Release) A Fiat 500 Show Car Birthday Gift For Barbie Fiat 500 makes headlines once more, as befits an authentic Made in Italy icon. This time its an original 2009 Fiat 500 Barbie edition dedicated to the most famous fashion doll ever: Barbie. This exceptional vehicle, created by a partnership between the Fiat Centro Stile and Mattel, will be given officially to Barbie on 9 March next, at her fiftieth birthday celebrations in Milan. Its a fashionista car but quite tongue-in-cheek and with lots of charm: just like Barbie herself. The gleaming paintwork resembles varnish and definitely makes for a shock effect, achieved with deep lacquered colour using ultra fine aluminium plunged in deep, up-to-the-minute pink. The seating is upholstered in strikingly soft fabrics: silver laminated Alcantara is not only trendy but plush to the touch and its glimmer bounces as far as the roof panel. Then there are mats enhanced with natural silk yarn and sleek viscose, not to mention lip...

More Fiat spy shots today from GlobalMotors with this Fiat Sedici mule spotted in cold testing in Sweden. The light touches to the design mostly involve the front, while the interior should also see some updates with a new navigator and twin zone air conditioning. The adoption of the more modern 1.4 T-jet and 1.6 Multijet engines should also take place on this model, planned for a Geneva show debut. © Source: eurocarblog We need your comments below >>

These are the first official images of 2009 Fiat 500C convertible have been leaked onto the web. As expected, the Fiat 500C is not your typical convertible, instead using a sliding canvas roof which is opened electronically and stored in plain sight. This design is both cost effective and functional, allowing the 500C to maintain its distinctive retro styling which has made it such a hit here and especially overseas. The cloth roof is reportedly available in three distinct colours - ivory, red and black - and includes an integrated spoiler which also houses a third brake light. The current engine range will be incorporated into the new 500C line-up along with the 1.3-litre Multijet equipped with Stop-Start technology. The new Fiat 500C Convertible will make its first public debut at the Geneva motor show with European sales expected to start later this year. © Source: caradvice We need your comments below >>

Good: Useful small family MPV with sliding side doors, 2,500 litre capacity and option of 6-speed Dualogic automated manual with 1.25 diesel engine Bad: Ride quality in the back far from brilliant. The Fiat Fiorino was developed by both Fiat and PSA (Peugeot and Citroen) and aimed to fill a niche below the small van segment with a under 4 meter van. 2009 Fiat Qubo is in essence the passenger version of the light van Fiorino and is branded as an MPV. The small MPV measures just 3.959 meters long, 1.735 meters high and 1.716 meters wide but still offers 650 to 2,500 liters of cargo space. Power for the five-seater comes from a choice of petrol or diesel engines like the 1.3 liter 75 bhp Multijet or 1.4 liter 73 bhp petrol engine and can be hooked up to a 5-speed manual or a robotized 6-speed automatic transmission. Fuel economy is impressive at just 4.5 l per 100 km and certain models emit less than 120 g/km of CO2. © Source: worldcarfans We need your comments below >>

The camouflage wrapping on at least one Fiat 500 Cabriolet has been conveniently damaged while in transit, giving us our best look yet at the little hatch’s new roof. These images confirm that the 500 Cabriolet will use a textile roof, featuring a small integrated rear spoiler and high-mount brake light. This latest addition to the Fiat line-up will use a targa-like roof rather than a completely convertible design, most likely to save costs and weight. In addition, the roof design also allows Fiat to distance the 500 Cabriolet from competing models such as the Mini or Volkswagen Beetle Convertibles which both use a completely convertible rag-top roof. © Source: caradvice We need your comments below >>
