• Chevrolet Impala Marks 50 Years

  Chevrolet will build a special edition of its full-size Impala sedan to mark the nameplate's 50th anniversary on the market. The new sedan will be on display in January at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit. The first Impala hit the market in 1958 as a package available on Bel Air sedans - and Chevrolet says the new edition will recall the same fun-to-drive spirit that's an Impala hallmark. The special edition shares the standard Impala's drivetrain, a 3.5-liter V-6 with 211 horsepower and 214 pound-feet of torque and E85 flex-fuel capability. New features on the special edition include a retuned FE3 sport suspension; four-channel anti-lock brakes; a rear spoiler; eight-way power driver's seat; a leather-wrapped steering wheel; black carpet and floor mats; special badges and sills; and a choice of red or black paint. A year's subscription to OnStar and its navigation system is standard as well. The Impala range also offers - and the 50th Anniversary...
