It’s time for the first test drives for BMW with its 7 Series (in the photo a 740i pre-series reserved for the press) which will soon arrive on the market with plenty of technology to improve driving pleasure. A few tests have been carried out on the BMW test-track at Miramas, the details below. The guys from CAR have confirmed the agility and command reaction of the sedan, comparing it to a 3 Series; and on pushing the “sport” button gives extra driving feel, setting engine, steering and suspension response. The real ace up their sleeve however, is the rear wheel steering making for great cornering as the rear wheels automatically follow and react to what’s happening up front. The magazine says it’s a natural and satisfying driving feel for both passenger and driver, with the Series 7 feeling like a smaller car that what it actually is, forging new paths for bigger sedans. Clientele for this type of car is looking for comfort and the 7 Series guarantees it with sophisticated chassis and...

No more spy pics, no more renderings, the first official images of the all new BMW 7-Series have leaked onto the web and who are we to hold them back from you. The official unveiling isn't until next week, but perhaps this may spur BMW into action sooner. Very little was left to the imagination regarding the exterior design, recent prototypes have sported only light camouflage and a recent teaser poster caught at a golf tournament showed the CS inspired headlights. We see from these leaked images, both the front and rear lights will get LEDs and the interior shows us a first glimpse of the updated i-Drive system. Of course we will bring you full details as soon as they surface, but enjoy these photos in the meantime. © Source: worldcarfans We need your comments below >>

Getting eco friendly is something that's best left in advertisements and hoardings since most of the remedies to pollution are either too preposterous or simply make too much of an unnecessary purchase. But no matter how underrated they concept of pollution-free options may be, I'll all ways vouch for vehicles that save both energy and also prevent pollution. Leading by example is His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco who has purchased a BMW Hydrogen . He is now inline with celebrities like Will Ferrell and Cameron Diaz. The prince picked this one up from an environmental exposition in Monte Carlo. "I monitor very carefully, in the automobile sector in particular, the development of new technologies". Well those are the golden words that weigh a lit more than the Hydrogen 7. © Source: luxurylaunches We need your comments below >>

Say hello to BMW ’s next-generation executive limousine, the 2009 new 7-series. Our European photographers snapped the car at the firm’s Munich headquarters this morning, and it’s the first time the Mercedes S-class beater can be seen without the heavy cladding that so far made the elegant saloon looking like an ugly military tank. With its huge twin-kidney grille and the wrap-around headlights the car mimics design elements of the X5 and X6 but keeps the exclusive character the 7-series is known for. Though still disguised with a fake rear spoiler, the rear end and especially the boot lid will undoubtedly become more elegant compared to the current car’s back. In addition to the exterior updates, BMW will be introducing a new iDrive and – rumour has it – an eight-speed transmission. The new 7-series will make its first public appearance at the Paris Show later this year and will arrive as a 2009 model. © Source: caradvice We need your comments below >>

THE curvy new BMW 7-Series is on the way. We’ve already caught disguised protoypes of the big saloon being put through their paces, but these are the best pictures yet of the luxury model. This mule for the German company’s flagship was spotted during a break from testing in South Africa by eagle-eyed Auto Express reader Steve Miller. The newcomer is bigger than the outgoing car, and set to borrow styling cues from the brand’s gorgeous CS Concept, which debuted at China’s Shanghai Motor Show last year. The slab-sided look of the current version has been ditched as BMW designers have given the next model a sleek new style. Company bosses expect the range-topper to go straight to the head of the class when the 7-Series goes on sale towards the end of the year. It will compete with established rivals, such as the Mercedes S-Class and Audi A8 , after the production car debuts at the Paris Motor Show in October. © Source: autoexpress We need your comments below >>
