Filed under: Tuners , Sedans/Saloons , Sports/GTs , Euro , Mercedes-Benz , Misc. Auto Shows , AMG The new Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG has yet to be introduced (we're guessing it'll make an appearance in New York next month), but the readers of Germany's Sport Auto magazine are going to have a shot at winning the new über-sedan as part of the sweepstakes that accompanies the buff book's annual reader's choice awards. In honor of the occasion, Mercedes has pulled a Lutz and given a quick upskirt peek at the front end. What's it look like? Well, as you can see, it's pretty much what you'd expect from an AMG ride: updated fascia, aero kit, big split-spoke wheels that show off bigger, upgraded brakes, etc. The normally-aspirated 6.2 (+ .1 for old-times' sake) liter V8 belts out 525 horsepower. Bring money. You know you're gonna need it. We'll have more for you on the new AMG E-Class as soon as more deets become available. [Source: Sport Auto via MotorWard...

Filed under: Coupes , Geneva Motor Show , Mercedes-Benz Click above for a hi-res gallery of the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe In the ramp-up to the upcoming Geneva Motor Show , we've heard from all the big luxury players and then some on the new concepts and production vehicles they'd be bringing to the Swiss show, except for Mercedes-Benz. But at long last, here's the big debut that the Three-Pointed Star will be presenting at the Geneva Palexpo in a couple of weeks: the new E-Class Coupe. Replacing the CLK, the new E coupe follows along the same path as the new E-Class sedan which Mercedes unveiled just a few months ago, albeit with with two fewer doors and a sleeker, more...well, coupe-like profile, with no B-pillars to obstruct the view and a low drag coefficient. Carrying a Cd of just 0.24, Mercedes claims the new E-Class Coupe is the most aerodynamically efficient production car on the market. Coupled with an efficient range of engines - ranging from the E 250 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY...

Filed under: Spy Photos , Sedans/Saloons , Mercedes-Benz The rich keep getting richer, and their cars keep getting bigger. Although you might see some old Mercedes-Benz E's pulling cab duty in extended form overseas, by and large (so to speak) it's the S-Class that usually gets the stretched treatment in Mercedes' sedan lineup. But these spy shots suggest that the Benz boys are going in another direction, as they show a stretched version of the new E-Class undergoing development. Hot on the heels of the reveal of the E-Class sedan, reports suggest that these spy shots are of an official factory E-Class Pullman limousine - not an independent aftermarket conversion. If that's the case, the five-meter stretched E is likely to be decked out with all of the latest high-tech gadgetry inside, while the beefy-looking windows and body roll suggest this could be an armored Guard version . Whatever it is, you can bet it'll be a whole lot cheaper than a Maybach Zeppelin . [Source...

Filed under: Spy Photos , Coupes , Mercedes-Benz The 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe has been caught in the clear -- almost nude -- with just a little tape around the lights and decklid at a company presentation in Mallorca. We'll have to spend some time with that sculpted flank in person just to make sure, but in pictures, the former E-Class and CLK have successfully come together in the new E-Class sedan and E-Class Coupe . It could also be the third best translation of the design language that began with the S-Class (the C-Class is second), leaving the CL-Class a distinctive-yet-distant fourth. We'd imagine the E-Class Coupe is set for a New York or Geneva Auto Show unveiling, where we can inspect it thoroughly. Filed under: Spy Photos , Coupes , Sports/GTs , Mercedes-Benz Click on the image above for a gallery of Mercedes-Benz E500 Either someone is either rather handy with Photoshop, or Mercedes-Benz has another E-Class embargo break on their hands. The folks over at Autoblog.nl (no relation) have somehow gotten hold of what looks to be a slate of images of the 2010 E500 Coupe. We've seen mules of this car for some time now, but this is our first gander at what appears to be a wholly uncovered example. The front end shots look decidedly similar to the already-unveiled 2010 E-Class sedan, but the profile has benefited from a more graceful roofline and the omission of a pair of doors and what looks to be a B-pillarless greenhouse. We like the swooping rear fender line and the short rear deck, but the large LED taillamps and the decklid itself will be something we have to see in person to truly wrap our heads around. Check out the gallery below and stay tuned for more details as they happen...

Filed under: Sedans/Saloons , Geneva Motor Show , Mercedes-Benz Click above for a high-res gallery of the 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class After various reports and some leaked images , M-B took the wraps off the the 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class at a private event in Detroit. While the new E won't make its public debut until March at the Geneva Motor Show , we were on hand in Motown to get the details straight from the company that Karl Benz built. We've said plenty about the E's new conservative sheetmetal and exterior elements, including the ConceptFASCINATION -inspired front-end and sedate, uninspired rump. Depending on spec, the new E-class will feature either twin foglamps or angular LEDs, trapezoidal or oval exhaust tips and a host of wheel options. The overall length has been stretched by half an inch to just under 16 feet, while the width has grown by 1.26 inches, the wheelbase is up 0.8-inches and height is half-an-inch taller than the outgoing model. Torsional rigidity is...
