Filed under: Time Warp , Coupes , Sports/GTs , Etc. , Chevrolet Chevrolet Corvemaro - Click above for image gallery Sometimes, the end result is less than the sum of its parts. Such is the case with this monstrosity that we've labeled the Chevrolet Corvemaro. It looks about as good as the name rolls off the tongue. From what we can tell, this is the front clip of a '73 Camaro grafted onto the chassis and running gear of a C4 Corvette of unknown vintage. Thrown in for good measure are a generic '70s-era power dome hood and fender vents that appear to have been lifted from a second-gen Pontiac Trans Am. Perhaps when it's completed we'll change our hatin' ways, but that seems unlikely judging by the unsightly "progress" so far. Masochists can view the gallery below for more unfortunate Bowtie-branded carnage, but we'd avise against it. [Source CarDomain ] Avert your eyes, Bowtie fans... it's the Chevrolet Corvemaro! originally appeared on Autoblog...

Filed under: Videos Click above to watch video after the jump If you own a Lamborghini Gallardo or a Ford GT for the sole purpose of being seen around town, it's a real shame. We fail to see why 500 hp is necessary to traverse traffic on the way to the country club, yet we know from experience that being seen in a supercar doesn't suck. Even still, the real fun is found when you're driving the machine... hard. Back in February, a group of well-to-do car enthusiasts got together in Miami to appreciate their exotics for what they really are: fire-breathing track stars. Follow the jump to see a two-minute video of some of the world's best and fastest supercars as they take to airport runways. If you're a fan of Ferrari, Lamborghini, Lotus, Corvettes, the Ford GT or the Saleen S7, you'll see something you love going very fast. Putting 40 or 50 exotics in one video is usually enough reason to get us to watch, but the sounds from the exhausts prompted us to take a second...

Filed under: Coupes , Sports/GTs , Etc. , Chevrolet This is no way to treat a 1963 Corvette split-window coupe. Found in Washington by one of Google StreetView's drones, there's actually no barn to this barn find, just a car left sitting in the gray mist that folks in the Pacific Northwest call "weather." This Corvette had a 12-year shelf life, and then according to the owner, it's "been veggin' on the spot since '75." If you are interested, it's one of the fuel injected models and comes with an extra engine and other parts. Of course, if it's been sitting there for 34 years, it could fall to pieces when you try to move it... and you'll probably find more than a few dead (or perturbed) animals lurking thereabouts. But that wouldn't stop you, would it? Check out the gallery below of this forlorn '63 Vette. Filed under: Motorsports , Chevrolet , Rendered Speculation Click above for a high-res photo of BadBoyVettes.com's Corvette Stingray C7.R rendering While the Corvette Stingray Concept (a.k.a. Autobot Sideswipe ) introduced at the Chicago Auto Show earlier this month sports heritage-inspired cues, its futuristic styling could also hint at the design of the next-generation model. GM made no comment on whether any of the concept would find make its way into the C7 Corvette, but there will doubtless be plenty of people willing to speculate. The gang at BadBoyVettes.com have taken it one step further and have come up with what the C7.R would look like if the Stingray went to production as-is. Using one of our live shots from the show , they've added the Corvette Racing livery, complete with the "Jake" skull mascot featured prominently on the hood. We think they did a good job, which is to be expected, since BBV helped put together the design schemes for the actual C6.R racers...

Filed under: Convertibles , Coupes , Sports/GTs , Chevrolet , Special/Limited Editions Click above for a high-res gallery of the Anteros Roadster and Coupe While the Anteros Roadster made its debut a few years at SEMA, we got our first look at the coupe just a few months ago. Now, n2a Motors, which builds the Corvette-based sportscars has announced that it is taking orders for both the coupe and convertible, priced at $149,500 and $154,500, respectively. Based on the chassis and running gear of a 2009 Chevrolet Corvette, each car features a carbon composite body, hand-stitched leather interior, three-piece aluminum wheels, and a custom exhaust. Under the hood is the Corvette's LS3 V8 putting out 430 horsepower and 424 lb-ft torque, complete with Chevrolet's 100,000 mile powertrain warranty intact. Customers can also choose to have the Z06 used as a base vehicle, and upgrades between 525 and 1000 horsepower are available at additional cost. The transformation from Corvette to Anteros...

Filed under: Convertibles , Coupes , Sports/GTs , Chevrolet , Special/Limited Editions Last weekend, Corvette owners were let in on a limited edition Vette in the pipeline: the Corvette GT-1 Edition. Created to celebrate Corvette's last hurrah in the current GT1 class this year, the car is actually more like a rolling trophy than your typical paint-and-decals collector's edition car. The GT-1 package will come in yellow with black stripes, or black with yellow stripes, and be available on the coupe, convertible, and Z06. The yellow windshield banner from the C6.R will be in place, and the car will also feature "Jake," the racing team's mascot (the yellow skull with the Corvette pennants). The C6.R driver's names will be placed on the roof of the car, and the championships they've won will be written on the lower door. Elsewhere, you get a body-colored spoiler out back, Q9V forged chrome wheels (the 5-spoke style that came out on the 2008 Corvette), black headlamps...
