  • New KITT Attack Mode revealed at Comic Con

Filed under: Ford , Lifestyle , Celebrities Click above to view live pics at ShadowyFlight.com var digg_url = 'http://digg.com/television/KITT_s_new_Attack_Mode_revealed_at_Comic_Con_2'; NBC is unveiling the new Attack Mode for KITT today at the very large Comic Con convention in San Diego. ShadowyFlight.com is covering the reveal of the car live in its forums, but this image has already made its way on the web and confirms that KITT has had his wings sheared. Gone are the various spoilers that cluttered the first version and what remains is a cleaner car with dual side exhausts, a deep chin spoiler that looks pretty heavy duty, an equally strong looking mesh grille, what appears to be rocket launchers where a shaker scoop would go, a still-very-big rear wing, rear air diffuser and new spokeless wheels that were stolen right off of a Bonneville Salt Flats racer. The rear tires are extremely oversized and still manage to poke out from the newly flared fenders. Is it better than the...
  • NBC greenlights Knight Rider weekly series

Filed under: Sports/GTs , Etc. , Ford , Celebrities You'll see more of him this Fall. Click above for a gallery of the new KITT. var digg_url = 'http://digg.com/television/NBC_greenlights_Knight_Rider_weekly_series'; The Knight Rider TV movie was not good . The updated, Shelby Mustang-based KITT looked undeniably cool (when not in Ugly... er... Attack Mode, at least), but the acting was wooden and the writing was a horror show. Still, the ending completely set up a potential ongoing story. Today comes word that the ratings were apparently good enough for the suits to give a thumbs-up for a new weekly series starting this Fall. Early reports suggest a Friday night timeslot is in the works, but that's subject to change; all will be known on Wednesday when NBC presents its early upfronts. We'll assume that at the very least, stars Justin Breuning (Mike Traceur) and Deanna Russo (Mike Traceur's Girlfriend) will return to fill our flatscreens with emotionless line reading...
  • NBC releases second Knight Rider TV spot

Filed under: Sports/GTs , Videos , Ford var digg_url = 'http://digg.com/television/New_Knight_Rider_30_Second_Teaser'; 550 horespower, race-tuned suspension, and the little things like nanotech-enhanced camouflage. These are just some of the features you'll find on the new, heavily-Fordified Knight Industries Three Thousand when Knight Rider , the TV movie, airs next month. No word yet as to whether all of KITT's nifty accessories will be supplemented by other nice-to-haves like a good plot, quality acting, and seamless visual effects. We'll find out soon enough. • VIDEO: First Knight Rider teaser trailer airs

Filed under: Etc. , Videos click above image to view teaser trailer var digg_url = 'http://digg.com/television/NBC_Airs_New_Knight_Rider_teaser_hear_Will_Arrnet'; Had you been watching Sunday Night Football yesterday, you would've seen the Redskins pound on the Vikings. Exciting stuff. If you blinked, got up to microwave some nacho cheese sauce or changed stations to watch the Amazing Race 12, then you may have missed the first official Knight Rider trailer to hit the airwaves. The short spot will probably be the first of many that primes our nostalgic hearts for the return of Knight Rider as a network series, kicked off by a two-hour movie on February 17th . The trailer shows KITT covered on a stage, motionless until his light bar begins glowing red and doing sweeps. Note that because the Shelby GT500KR actually has a pair of nostrils, there are really two light bars this time. Then, we hear the slightly synthesized voice of Will Arnett say, "Hello Mike." Getting...
  • NBC officially announces Knight Rider, new KITT unveiled!

Filed under: Time Warp , Etc. UPDATE: TV Squad has just posted its live coverage of the announcement. Click here for live shots of the car including its interior! click above image for more official pics var digg_url = 'http://digg.com/television/Knight_Rider_s_new_K_I_T_T_unveiled_OFFICIAL_Pics_2'; NBC held a press conference today officially announcing the return of Knight Rider to network TV. The new show will debut as a two-hour movie on February 17th with a cast that includes Justin Bruening , Deanna Russo , Sydney Tamiia Poitier and Bruce Davison . Also confirmed is the return of David Hasselhoff in the role of an elder Michael Knight. Finally, the character we care about most, KITT, has been officially confirmed as a Ford GT500KR. The voice of KITT will also be none other than Will Arnett , husband of Saturday Night Live's Amy Poehler and ex-alum of the TV show Arrested Development . There will actually be three versions of KITT in the show: a 540-hp standard version...
  • Shelby GT500KR confirmed as new K.I.T.T.

Filed under: Coupes , Sports/GTs , Etc. , Supercars , Ford The rumor that K.I.T.T. will be played by a Mustang in the upcoming Knight Rider TV series appears to be true. That is, assuming someone with a lot of time on his hands didn't mock up a Hoff-ified Mustang just for the hell of it. That's extremely doubtful, as the car you see above is actually wearing the body kit of a Shelby GT500KR , which isn't easy to come by for weekend projects. Nope, if we take the pic at face value, then the only conclusion possible is that K.I.T.T. will be played by a 550-horsepower Shelby GT500KR in black with silver racing stripes. K.I.T.T.'s trademark running red light bar has been relocated up and into two nostrils that sit atop the GT500KR's hood. It's a natural fit, though we have to question the silver stripes that, while a trademark of the GT500KR, are totally harshing on K.I.T.T.'s blacked-out super stealth persona. General Motors is probably a bit bummed that one of...
