Filed under: Economy , Videos , SMART , Suzuki , Motorcycles Click above to watch the video of a stunting smartabusa Stunting on a Suzuki Hayabusa is crazy in its own right, but stunting in a smart fortwo? Now that takes some real effort. While the bike's got the power to wheelie all day long and its dual front discs are more than powerful enough to raise the rear tire just as far as your guts allow, that's not really the bike's intent. Still, it's much more suitable for the activity than the smart fortwo with its lazy 70-hp three-cylinder and skinny tires, right? Well, maybe not. Take a good look at the video after the break for visual proof that the smart, when properly equipped, makes a fine stunt ride. Of course, in this situation, properly equipped equals a major horsepower infusion via the aforementioned Suzuki Hayabusa, along with some major front brake modifications. Seriously, ever see a smart fortwo perform a tail-whip? Neither had we, until today. [Source: Autofiends...

Filed under: Videos , Motorcycles , Celebrities Click above for more shots of the custom bikes from Babylon A.D. Having managed to avoid Babylon A.D. completely up until this point, it's hard to give any sort of commentary on the actual flick (we heard it was pretty bad...), but after seeing some of the cool machinery that was showcased in the Vin Diesel vehicle, we give a grade A to Lazareth, the French maker of high performance custom bikes. Lazareth was a good choice, as the motorcycles coming out of that shop already have a bit of a future post-apocalyptic look to them. Among the cool features are supercharged V-Twin engines, single-sided forks and swingarms, and on-board computers. Customs based on streetfighters are inherently cool in the sea of look-alike choppers and bobbers, so it's a refreshing change of pace to see these bikes featured on film. See a video of the machines in action after the break. Gallery: Lazareth customs in Babylon A.D. [Source: MotoBlog ] Continue...

Filed under: Tuners , Videos , Motorcycles Click above to view video after the jump It must take a certain kind of person to yank the small and economical 3-horsepower engine from a golf cart and replace it with one from a 2007 Yamaha R1 literbike. For the record, the team behind the transformation did a few dyno passes and managed to record 125-horsepower at the rear wheels. As you might expect, hilarious antics ensued, such as smoking tires and multi-geared wheelies on the dyno, which were then duplicated outside. After viewing the video, we want one, along with a really, really good helmet and full-body armor. Watch the video after the break. Filed under: Euro , Japan , Videos , Motorcycles Over the weekend, Dylan Weiss from Cry Havoc Productions, Inc . let us know that his latest motorcycle-specific documentary went live at Discovery's Turbo online site . We've spent some time watching the footage, and we think it's awesome. Focusing in on Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki, BMW, Ducati, MV Agusta and Bimota, the crew took plenty of footage home with them and managed to ride some of the greatest modern sportbikes ever created along the way. Best of all, over four hours of video is available online for free at their mini-site, broken down into 50 segments. The whole shebang was shot in High Definition, so we have some serious hopes that it will air on The Discovery Channel, be offered on DVD or both. It's extremely entertaining and we definitely recommend checking it out. Thanks for the tip, Dylan! [Source: Cry Havoc Productions , Discovery Turbo ] Read | Permalink | Email this | Comments

Filed under: Videos , Motorcycles , India Follow along past the break to watch the entire video While Bajaj is primarily known for its line of retro-style scooters in America, Bajaj is a major player in their home country of India in the motorcycle market. Their flagship model, the Pulsar , is a very respected motorcycle in India, and thanks to a tip from sanyam, we're able to show you this awesome video of the Pulsar in action. Good videography, professional stunt riding and well planned choreography make quite a display, even when the riders are mounted on machines with a mere 200cc of engine capacity. In case you were wondering, that 0.2-liter manages 18 horsepower, which looks to be plenty to have fun with, and it makes bikes like the Ninja 250 even more desirable. We wish that more small-bore sportbikes were available on our shores, but buyers have historically flocked to the much faster and more expensive middleweight class. Videos such as this one make us glad to be internet...

Filed under: Etc. , Videos , Suzuki , Motorcycles Anybody who's ever strapped themselves into a shifter-kart can attest to the fact that they are one of the most exhilarating rides available, and their capabilities are much higher than first expected. That being the case, when swapping the 125cc engine from the go kart with a 1300cc engine from a Suzuki Hayabusa, the resulting machine is nothing if not overpowered. A small blip of the throttle induces massive tire spin and power-slides are available at a moment's notice, possibly less. To handle the power-infusion, the frame was suitably strengthened and elongated with plenty of square-section tubing. We're not so sure that we'd have built this machine in the first place, but now that it's done, we really wish we could get a chance in the drivers seat. Follow along after the break for a video of the machine in action. [Source: Kart Hayabusa via Jalopnik ] Continue reading Hayabusa-powered go kart redefines the term overpowered...

Filed under: Government/Legal , Safety , Videos , Motorcycles , UK Be careful what you put up on YouTube, because the police could be watching. At least, that is if you're speeding in Scotland, where police have been monitoring the internet in a campaign to crack down on reckless driving. Not only do the videos serve as evidence of moving violations, Scottish police say that a growing number of show-offs are speeding for the specific purpose of showing the world their reckless behavior. One such biker/videographer is currently being hunted down by Scottish traffic detectives, who vow to find him. We wanted to show you the video, but the motorcyclist who posted it is evidently trying to covering his tracks by removing the video from YouTube.
