The LifeCar divides a line that reaches well into the past and well into the future. Its lines are retro modern -- or is that modern retro? -- with all the traditional early-20th-century coupe cues done in aluminum. The hydrogen powerplant is theoretically good for a 200-mile range and "sporting" British performance. Check out the press release for the full details, and be sure to look at the gallery of hi-res images below. Filed under: Coupes , Sports/GTs , Geneva Motor Show , Supercars , Bugatti Click above for hi-res gallery of the Bugatti Veyron Fbg par Hermes The press release says "This car's greatest strength is its ability to make you feel like a child again (a somewhat boisterous child, admittedly)." We can't agree enough. Who among us doesn't have childhood tales of doing 200-plus in our €1.55 million toys? This blogger used to do it all the time -- no, really, all the time, 'cause I was really boisterous -- and I am sure I'm not alone. Hyperbole aside, it's a Bugatti, and that makes it exquisite. And frankly, even if you aren't a fan of Hermes, they do amazing work, which, incredibly, makes the Bug even more exquisite. The "H"-logoed wheels and the fitted bag are spot on. The Hermes engraved fuel filler door could be over the top, but one loses any sense of O.T.T. after flying by the $2 million mark. But hey, if we're all feeling like kids...

Filed under: Aftermarket , Coupes , Sports/GTs , Geneva Motor Show , BMW Click the image above for more hi-res shots of the carbon-heavy BMW 1-Series performance parts P. T. Barnum already answered how many people you could fit in an itty bitty car. BMW is now trying to figure out how much carbon you can fit into the same. The BMW 1-Series performance parts will keep carbon weavers in business for some time (we figure they'll be quite popular). The only sizable component not made out of carbon was the silencer, and no one will see that after it's installed. If nothing else, it could be the best and most agreeable way to raise your carbon footprint. It's a shame about that hood, though... Check out the gallery of hi-res photos below. Filed under: Convertibles , Coupes , Sports/GTs , Geneva Motor Show , Mercedes Benz Click the image above for more hi-res shots of the SL63 Two doors, no top, red leather interior, ceramic brakes, and 538 horses is a combination you once expected to be named for an Italian city or racing personage. No more. And while the alpha-numeric SL63 might not be all that Germanic in itself, it gets no more Teutonic than the hyphenated moniker "Mercedes-Benz" that precedes it. Now that Merc is making cars as fast as those of its Latin neighbor, perhaps the SL63 -- being a tad more comfortable -- is the car you drive to go check on the progress of your bespoke Italian supercar. Filed under: Coupes , Sports/GTs , Geneva Motor Show , Euro , Volkswagen Click image above for live shots of the production Scirocco Walking around the Geneva Motor Show this morning, we spotted the production 2009 Volkswagen Scirocco . Actually there were three of them: A white one and two red examples. Although not as outrageous as the IROC Concept, it's still a wild looking ride. The Pokemon snout is gone, and surprisingly, so is the double-decker grille. What is left is a hot little coupe that basically looks like an Audi A3 three-door with styling more reminiscent of something from Alfa Romeo. A squashed R32 is another way of thinking of it, but in a tasteful way. The new coupe will be in European showrooms by late summer starting at 21,750 euros in the home market. Full press release after the jump, but enough chit-chat, check out the pics. Filed under: Aftermarket , Coupes , Sports/GTs , Geneva Motor Show , Bentley Click above for more high-res shots of the Zagato Bentley Continental GTZ Since we're still in the midst of awards season, the trophy for least complicated reveal goes to Zagato, which made nary a fuss over its angularized and curvified Bentley Continental GTZ . Just a note, a bigger note and press photos, and now we present the live shots. It's a striking car, no doubt -- from some angles at the front we think it looks like it had a long night out with Salvador Dali and Georges Braque. Check out the hi-res photos for yourself, below. Filed under: Concept Cars , Coupes , Sports/GTs , Geneva Motor Show , Supercars , Alfa Romeo The saga of whether Bertone will or will not be at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show to debut its Alfa Romeo B.A.T. 11 concept is over. Automotive News Europe is reporting that the Italign design house will display the vehicle you see above in Geneva, just not at the Palexpo where the auto show is taking place. Bertone's Vice Chairperson Marie-Jeanne Bertone told AN that her mother Lilli, who is also Bertone's Chairperson, had cancelled the company's booth at the Geneva show. Unfortunately, it's not yet known where within the city limits of Geneva the car will debut. We assume it will be a shady part of town and a password might be required to get in. Despite the highly unorthodox unveiling, the B.A.T. 11 looks every bit as dynamic as the original B.A.T. concepts from which it takes inspiration. Being that it's based on the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione platform, it probably goes like...

Filed under: Concept Cars , Coupes , Sports/GTs , Geneva Motor Show , Bentley Click above to view high-res gallery of Bentley Continental GTZ This may come as a bit of a surprise to anyone who's been following the agonizing bit-by-bit release of a number of concept cars in advance of the Geneva Motor Show , but one Italian design studio has chosen to forgo the teasing and release all the details of its show car all at once. In fact, we hadn't heard anything about Zagato's coachbuilt Bentley since the initial report from last December, but the famed Milanese carrozzeria has revealed that it will be unveiling the car at the show now only days away. Called the Bentley Continental GTZ, following the familiar nomenclature last seen on the 2006 Ferrari 575 GTZ , Zagato's interpretation on the stately grand tourer manages to be instantly recognizable as both a Bentley and a Zagato design . Based on the effortlessly fast Continental GT Speed , the latest Zagato retains, to the best...
