Filed under: Etc. , Videos , Toys , Humor Click above to watch videos after the jump Truth be told, we've always thought PowerWheels were underpowered, too. We just never thought of custom building them with a 110cc gas engine from a pit bike, four-speed manual transmission and electric start. Some other guys did, and watching their results in action will seriously mess with your childhood memories. Their stable of monsters are a Greatest Hits of the PowerWheels garage including the Ford F-150, Barbie Corvette, Barbie Jeep (with wheelie bar), Hummer H2 and Mustang Convertible. Each one looks like an "After" picture of Barry Bonds - a little bigger than you remember and way more powerful. These grown men sit more atop their custom cars than in them, and to say their creations are less safe than a Chinese-built Smart clone would be an understatement. And yet, riding them looks more than enough fun to outweigh the risk of your head becoming a roll bar. The first video after the...

Filed under: Hybrids/Alternative , Marketing/Advertising , Videos , Toyota , Humor Click above to watch video after the jump The Toyota Prius is the most fuel efficient vehicle in its class, very roomy, relatively affordable and Hanna Montana drives one. Maybe that last point is why some people are beginning to show hostility towards the car that's become the Kleenex of hybrids. Andy Richter and James Adomain of the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater have played off the Prius backlash in a faux car commercial pitting the Hyundai Elantra against Toyota's famous hybrid. Richter, formerly of Late Night with Conan O'Brien fame and not much since, plays the part of the frugal-minded Hyundai owner with an underlying anger issue, while Adomain gets all spiffed up to play the snobbish know-it-all with the Nickel Hydride battery pack. Forget about the totally erroneous statistics and the bogus sticker prices, just wait for the punch line. It's not the driveway shooting, but rather...

Filed under: Videos , Toys , Humor Click above to watch video after the jump We're big fans of R/C cars here at Autoblog, but we obviously love actually driving vehicles, as well. 3Z Scale has what might be the marriage of our two passions with its Bulldog R/C Rider. The Bulldog is a 1/3 scale remote control vehicle that sports a stadium truck body, 1100cc 4-stroke engine, disc brakes, automatic transmission, independent suspension and aluminum wheels. You can pilot the big R/C all day long behind a 2.4 GHz radio transmitter, but when that gets old, the Bulldog converts into a rideable ATV of sorts. Unfortunately, as the video after the jump demonstrates, controlling the vehicle by remote is not possible when there's a rider on the back of the Bulldog. In that mode, the rider controls the vehicles with handlebars. Nevertheless, imagining the fun we could have with an R/C car that's 4' 2" long and weighs nearly 200 lbs. makes the mind reel. And when we're done we...

Filed under: Etc. , Plants/Manufacturing , Videos , Humor Click above to watch video after the jump Despite being told this video was shot in a Ford factory, we're not exactly sure which company claims ownership of the reassigned assembly line robot. Whoever owns the building, they might be surprised to learn what their employees have been doing on their lunch hour. Take one giant robotic arm, a seat with strong seatbelts, a swivel (gotta have a swivel) and one thrill-seeking programmer. The result is what would be the star attraction at Six Flags Detroit if there were a Six Flags Detroit. We're pretty sure this wasn't a one-time joyride either - there's a safety line drawn on the floor and court-side seats set up for an audience. Though it's rip-roaring fun to watch a robotic arm impersonate a Tilt-A-Whirl, we shudder to think what would happen if the order for robot world domination were given while riding this thing. The obedient robot you were just riding suddenly...
