We are too, but it's not just Challengers on display in Vegas. There are also a handful of custom '09 Dodge Ram pickups here, as well. We previewed these four Ram truck concepts recently, all tuned by the automaker's in-house Mopar Underground division. Seeing the trucks in person gave us a better understanding and appreciation of each. Where we previously only had sketches and descriptions, now we have live shots and a sense of these pickups' grandeur. The bright yellow Dodge Ram TRXtreme looks a little less aggressive than the official sketch , but more than capable of tackling the artificial dirt mound set up in the booth. Filed under: SEMA , Tuners , Trucks/Pickups , Dodge Click above for high-res gallery of all four Dodge Ram truck concepts In addition to the Dodge Challenger SRT10 Concept , the Chrysler Group will also be bringing four Ram truck concepts to the SEMA Show in Las Vegas early next month, all tuned by its in-house Mopar Underground division. The first is the bright yellow Dodge Ram TRXtreme, which takes a quad-cab Ram with the TRX off-road package and adds an extra 4.5 inches of ground clearance, 20-inch Mopar wheels wearing BFG 73X12.50 series tires, fender flares, a tube step and box rail. The steel hood features cooling louvers and the grille is extra large, so the Ram's V8 should have no problem expelling excess heat while being worked. Filed under: Aftermarket , SEMA , Tuners , Trucks/Pickups , Chrysler, LLC. , Dodge With gas prices still leaving people numb, the Dodge Ram R/T probably won't get the reception Chrysler wants - but that doesn't mean the automaker won't give it some good car show loving: Mopar is bringing a 'roided up version of the truck to this year's SEMA Show in Las Vegas. The blue bruiser gets the 5.7-liter HEMI with 390 horsepower, good for enough giddy up to shoot to the truck to 60 mph in under six seconds. The body gets more of the Mr. Olympia treatment: a bulging hood with dual intakes over a deep air dam, a bed cover with a spoiler, a lowered suspension over 22-inch wheels for that "Don't mess!" aggression, and obligatory racing stripes. Sometimes, they're worth paying attention to. If you visit to the 2009 Dodge Ram website , you're treated to a tour of the truck by Ralph Gilles and Mark Allen. Before the design guys give their spiel, however, you get a very brief glimpse of a poster showing '09 Ram body styles and options/accessories. There, clear as day, is a shot of the forthcoming Ram R/T. When the new Ram was initially unveiled, PickupTrucks.com confirmed that the R/T was indeed on the way. Word at the time was that the R/T would be a standard-cab, 4x2, short-bed truck with a HEMI, 5-speed auto, and a 4.10 rear axle ratio. As you can see in the photo at right, the truck gets a monochrome treatment ( a la the Ram Sport ), a deep chin spoiler, and a hood reminiscent of the one used on the Challenger R/T and SRT8...
