Rumors began swirling late yesterday that Aston Martin CEO, Dr. Ulrich Bez, had confirmed that the V12 Vantage RS was headed to production. Unfortunately, the cited sources spanned from the totally obscure to the remarkably unlikely, and now, the path leads back to Dutch car Magazine Autovisie, which doesn't seem to have any article about the V12 Vantage online, except for its official unveiling. Regardless, the reported stories say that the 600 hp, V12 Vantage RS will go on sale sometime next year as a limited production model, tipping the scales at a little over 3,500 pounds, and coming equipped with plenty of carbon fiber bits and a rear spoiler that deploys automatically at high speeds. Bez supposedly also confirmed that the DBS Roadster is on its way to production, expected sometime towards the middle of 2009. Gallery: Aston Martin V12 Vantage RS...

Unfortunately, although it's more visually pleasing than its stab at the Vanquish , Mansory's take on the DB9 adopts the same meatless approach. The only real performance upgrade is in the rolling stock: 20-inch forged alloys hide 405mm discs clamped by six-piston calipers up front and four-piston calipers around back, hooked up to a lowered suspension. Wheels, brakes and suspension ain't nothin', but otherwise it's all poseur. There's a new front end with integrated lighting, side skirts and a carbon fiber rear diffuser with chrome exhaust tips. Inside Mansory has decked the interior out in maple, carbon fiber, Alcantara and available aluminum pedals. The package is available for both the DB9 coupe as well as...

Filed under: Spy Photos , Convertibles , Coupes , Sports/GTs , Aston Martin Click the image above for a gallery of high-res shots of the Aston Matrtin DBS Volante. Somewhere in the Swedish boonies there's a stunning burgundy mule testing its wares in the snow: the Aston Martin DBS convertible. Differing from its hardtopped sibling in only its roofline and side window profile, rear seat passengers will need all the champagne they can swill to forget about how little headroom they have. The roofless version of Bond's chariot will get to 100 KPH in just over four seconds, and will run you something like $300,000 in the States, and probably the same amount in euros. UPDATE: Daylight pictures added to gallery. Gallery: Aston Martin DBS Volante - spy shots Permalink | Email this | Comments

Filed under: Convertibles , Aston Martin click above image for more high-res pics of the Aston Martin N400 cars The Aston Martin V8 Vantage N400 unveiled last September at the Frankfurt Motor Show will be joined by this roadster. The N400 Roadster was actually announced at the same time as the Coupe, but apparently Aston Martin's creative dept. hadn't gotten around to lopping off the Coupe's roof in Photoshop yet (compare these two pics and you'll see what we mean). The pair are being built to commemorate Aston Martin's participation in the 24 Hours of Nürburgring, and if you look closely you'll see a map of the track next to the 'Vantage' badge. Like its closed coupe brother, the N400 Roadster features an upgraded version of the Vantage V8's 4.3L engine producing 400 HP and 309 lb-ft of torque. That's a full 20 horsepower more than what's included in a standard Vantage V8 thanks to a thorough overhaul of the engine's internal components...
