Filed under: Spy Photos , Coupes , Cadillac The coming Cadillac CTS Coupe has been photographed almost naked, and as with the new Camaro , it is remarkably true to the concept . While this version in white is said to be a vanilla V6 sample, the CTS Coupe should be hot enough to effectively replace the outgoing XLR as the Caddy with the mostest when it's given some wheels large enough to match the body's presence. As for the timeline , the Coupe remains on schedule to arrive next year, preceded by the CTS Sportwagon , which will arrive this June. Hat tip to Matthew! Filed under: Sports/GTs , Wagons/Estates , Plants/Manufacturing , Cadillac , GM 2010 Cadillac CTS Sport Wagon Monterey debut - Click above for a high-res gallery After speaking this morning with Cadillac's product communications manager, David Caldwell, we've fleshed out some near-term product plans for General Motors' luxury brand - in particular the timetable for the 2010 CTS Sport Wagon . The automaker's Lansing Grand River plant is scheduled to begin building the stylish rear-drive load lugger in early May, and the first examples should be at dealerships around Memorial Day (May 25), or perhaps early June. Cadillac's first-ever U.S-market station wagon (no, the SRX crossover doesn't count) is expected to offer a reasonable 25 cubic feet of space beneath its rakish rear glass, and while it rides on the same 113.4-inch wheelbase as its sedan counterpart, the wagon will actually be .3-inches shorter. The model looks to be particularly important for GM's fortunes...

Filed under: Aftermarket , Trucks/Pickups , Cadillac , Lifestyle Not surprisingly, owners of the most expensive pickup truck in America tend to have lots of money themselves. According to SEMA, 71% of Cadillac Escalade EXT owners make over $100,000 per year, and they also dole out plenty of coin for aftermarket improvements. While that little nugget of knowledge doesn't come as a shocker, the fact is that the average Cadillac Escalade EXT owner spends a whopping $5,814 to customize their wreath-and-crested blingmobile, which is twice as much as the next truck on the list, the Chevy Avalanche at $2,652. Owners of the Ford F-Series, Chevy Silverado, GMC Sierra and Dodge Ram all add between $819 and $1,040 on accessories for their trucks, which might indicate that these purchases were often made to do real work. Of the compact and midsize pickup segment, owners of the Honda Ridgeline spent the most on their trucks at $1,441 on average per vehicle. Somewhat predictably, the inexpensive...

Filed under: Gadgets , Sedans/Saloons , Sports/GTs , Tech , Cadillac Perhaps as part of a thoughtful move to combine two of the major aspects of the Autoblog lifestyle, Cadillac has just announced that it will offer full WiFi access in its CTS sport sedan beginning next month. The dealer-installed option will cost $499, and Cadillac says the Autonet Mobile system will effectively turn the CTS into a 3G hotspot with speeds of up to 800Kbps. Naturally, there's a monthly charge associated with the service, but $29 a month for a stylish, leather-lined mobile command center doesn't strike us as too bad of a deal, especially when the WiFi is capable of handling multiple devices simultaneously. No word yet on whether existing CTS owners can retrofit their cars, but considering this is a dealer-installed add-on, we imagine it's possible. If not, there's always the aftermarket. Now, if we could only get Cadillac to consider fitting a Nespresso machine, we'd have all the tools...

Filed under: Sedans/Saloons , Cadillac , Rumormill Cadillac Insignia - Rendered (poorly) by Autoblog Following up on an earlier report this week about future Buicks using Opel parts and platforms , the Detroit Free Press is saying that General Motors is considering offering the Insignia as a Cadillac. The front-wheel-drive sedan would likely be offered in all-wheel-drive form to U.S. consumers, and would feature adaptive headlamps, a lane-departure warning system and other techy tidbits. The same Epsilon II platform will underpin the 2010 Buick LaCrosse , and although it's been assumed since the Insignia's introduction that Saturn would receive the mid-size sedan, with that brand's future in doubt, GM may be trying to leverage more of its European assets in the States. Filed under: Spy Photos , Coupes , Sports/GTs , Cadillac "Blue skies are gonna clear up, put on a happy face! " Why the singing? Despite the recent stoppage of further development on high performance vehicles, it looks like the Cadillac CTS-V Coupe might make it out of the barn before the doors are shut. While we would have settled for the uninterrupted arrival of the CTS Coupe, the fact that a mule has been spied running around with V-Series markings is all the more exciting. Perhaps the all-conquering V-Series of the two door CTS was already too far underway to scrap, or perhaps the badging on the mule is just a reminder of quashed dreams. Thanks for the tip, Walt. To help guide residents of the northern hinterlands, the New England Motor Press Association recently gathered its regional autowriters together to choose this year's Official Winter Vehicle of New England. Autoblog attended and did our part by casting ballots for the various categories, and the results have been tallied. Toyota's new Venza is this year's overall winner, supplanting last year's champ, the Volvo XC70. Fierce competition in other categories led to a couple of ties. Check out the gallery for all the winners. Gallery: NEMPA Winter Vehicle award winners Toyota Venza named...
