Filed under: Time Warp , Auction Action , Dodge , Celebrities Click above for more sweet pictures of Uncle Rico's van In the market for a sweet ride? Consider Uncle Rico's van, which is currently on eBay and located in Columbus, Ohio. The van in question is an orange 1975 Dodge Santana Camper van, which isn't all that noteworthy by itself... but this one was featured in the 2004 cult-classic Napoleon Dynamite , making its new owner an especially lucky fellow. It's got a couple of beds, a stove, a refrigerator and a sink, though a Liger is not included. Take a good look at all the pics in our gallery below and remember to Vote Pedro for President. Filed under: Sports/GTs , Auction Action , Supercars , Dodge , Celebrities Click above for high-res gallery of Pam Anderson's Viper If you consider yourself the kind of person who loves animals, perhaps you are a member of PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals). Maybe that love of animals even extends to snakes, but how about Vipers? Well, if you like PETA and love Dodge supercars, this upcoming auction might be up your alley. Scheduled to go across the block at Julien's Auctions' Summer Entertainment Sale of Hollywood memorabilia , this 2000 Viper RT/10 still sports its original unmolested 8.0L V-10 and only 14,000 miles on the clock. It also happens to be owned by a prominent celebrity who is also a member of PETA. That celebrity would be Pamela Anderson. Wowaweehwah. Besides belonging to the Baywatch beauty, this Viper is said to get some of its own screen time in Anderson's upcoming E! series, "Pam: Girl on the Loose." The sale will take place June...

Filed under: Coupes , Auction Action , Chrysler , Dodge Click above for gallery of Challenger SRT8 #0001 in its new home The very first production 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8 has already been built and shipped to an AZ dealership, but it's not for sale. The first Challenger was won at auction by none other than Barrett-Jackson CEO Craig Jackson, and the world-famous auctioneer can pick up his prized $400,000 pony car at Ed Moses Dodge in Scottsdale, AZ whenever he's ready. Dodge Challenger SRT8 numero uno is completely loaded, black with a gray stripe down the center, and the plastic condoms have yet to be removed from the steering wheel and driver's seat. Jackson wasn't the only high-profile celebrity to snap up an early Challenger SRT8, either. As you read on Autoblog earlier, Jay Leno received Challenger #0002 this week, and the comedian/car nut has already parked his new toy at The Tonight Show headquarters in Burbank, CA. Check our gallery below for pics of the Challenger...

Filed under: Coupes , Auction Action , Chrysler , Dodge Click image to enlarge The first Challenger fetched $400,000 at Barrett-Jackson, and now #43 has managed to sell on eBay for a whopping $228,143.43. Of course #43 is no run-of-the-mill Challenger, as it's the only one (or, the only '08 model, at least) finished in B5 Blue paint, in a nod to "The King," Richard Petty, whose Mopar racers all wore a similar color. Unique paint isn't the only differentiator either, as it also comes with a commemorative plaque, a decal package (the winner can choose whether or not it's applied ot the car), and a meet-and-greet with Kyle Petty in addition to a VIP Package to the Dodge Challenger 500 NASCAR race at Darlington. All proceeds from the auction go to the Victory Junction Gang Camp , which works to better the lives of kids afflicted with serious diseases. Thanks for the tip, Johnny! Filed under: Aftermarket , Sedans/Saloons , Auction Action , Dodge Click for more high-res images of the taxpayer-funded blingmobile You may remember the December story involving 62-year-old California State Senate President Pro Tem, Don Perata (D - DUB City Oakland), who got his name in the paper after being jacked at gunpoint for his red 2006 Dodge Charger R/T. Of great amusement to everyone was the news that the Senator apparently rolled with mad flavor. His state-owned HEMI Charger, you see, was fitted with a set of 22" Panther wheels that are straight blingin '. So incongruous was the mental image of Perata rolling on deuce deuces that the police officer taking the carjacking call had to confirm what he'd heard, asking, "We're talking about the suspect's car or the senator's car?" Anyway, the Senator came through the incident unscathed and the Dodge was later recovered, dubs intact. Good thing, too, because that very car is up for grabs on eBay ....

Filed under: Coupes , Sports/GTs , Auction Action , Dodge We've seen the 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8 in Orange, Black and Silver now, but the most sought after color for the car's first model year will undoubtedly be Blue, or rather B5 Blue if you want to get technical. That's the color that adorns Challenger #43 , a rolling tribute to Richard Petty that is currently up for auction on eBay Motors until Friday, February 22nd. The Smurfy hue is meant to replicate the Petty Blue, or Corporate Blue, that covered The King's race cars during his stock car racing career. Challenger #1 already sold for $400,000 at the Barrett-Jackson Auction in Scottsdale, AZ last month, while Challenger #2 was sold off in a closed auction for dealers only. We're betting that this one-of-a-kind Challenger beats them both on the block, because not only do you get the car, but Dodge is throwing in two VIP passes to the May 2008 Dodge Challenger 500 NASCAR race at Darlington Raceway, travel and...

Filed under: Motorsports , Coupes , Auction Action , Chrysler , Dodge Click image to enlarge While the rights to the first 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8 brought $400K at Barrett-Jackson last weekend, we'd rather have the 43rd car built, which will go up on eBay's virtual auction block from February 12 to February 22. Chrysler is working the numerology angle, linking the 43rd Challenger to living legend Richard Petty and the #43 he made famous while driving Mopar stock cars to victory over his long racing career. Pre-qualified bidders will have the opportunity to take home the 43rd Challenger built, which will be the only one finished in B5 Blue in a nod to the Petty Blue (or Corporate Blue) finish that adorned The King's racers. Carbon fiber-look hood stripes, a chrome fuel filler lid and a numbered dash plaque finish this particular one-off appearance package, and the auction winner also gets a VIP Package to this May's Dodge Challenger 500 NASCAR race at Darlington. All proceeds...

Filed under: Time Warp , Coupes , Auction Action , Dodge Click the image above for a high resolution image If Wikipedia is correct (isn't it always?), there were a total of 309 General Lee Dodge Chargers used in the making of Dukes of Hazzard. The show used at least one or two cars per episode, nearly all of which were destroyed by the end. However, a few of the car still exist in various states of (dis)repair, including this particular one owned by John Schneider who played Bo Duke. The car currently has a 511cid Hemi V8 with 725 bhp and 610 lb-ft torque and has hit 165 mph in the Silver State Classic according to Schneider. The car was featured in the "Dukes of Hazzard" TV reunion movie, and each member of the cast has signed the underside of the hood. Despite Schneider leading the crowd in a rendition of "The Good Ol' Boys" while standing on the roof of his car, the General Lee couldn't muster more than a top bid of $450,000. We were expecting something...

Filed under: Coupes , Sports/GTs , Auction Action , Dodge Click on the image above for more of the first concept Challenger We were hoping Dodge would give us our first look at the production version Dodge Challenger at Barrett-Jackson (we've seen plenty of it already with the reader-submitted photos !), but to no avail. The concept car was brought to represent what potential buyers would actually be bidding on - the first production Dodge Challenger SRT8. The car will come with all available options including the 6.1-liter Hemi V8, 5-speed automatic transmission, navigation, and sunroof. A plaque on the dash will identify it as car #1. Not quite as high as the first GT500 KR or Corvette ZR1 , the gavel dropped at a mere $400,000 (before auction fees) for the first Challenger. The winning bidder also gets two VIP passes to the Dodge Challenger 500 NASCAR race later this year. All proceeds from the sale will benefit notMYkid, an organization dedicated to understanding youth behavioral...

Filed under: Car Buying , Sports/GTs , Auction Action , Chevrolet , Dodge , Ford Barrett-Jackson has been the king of muscle cars the last few years. Hemi Cudas, Shelby Mustangs, and Yenko Camaros have commanded high dollar bids from car collectors all around the world. Coming this January, Barrett-Jackson will not only have some of the best classic muscle cars, but the best new ones, as well. Lot #1300 will feature the very first 2008 Shelby GT500 KR offered for sale, which will be one of around 1,000 built for the year. Next up is Lot #1316 , the "first retailable unit built" (whatever that means) 2009 Corvette ZR1 , just days after the car's official launch at the Detroit Auto Show. Last but not least, Lot #1331 will feature the first production Dodge Challenger SRT8 to come off the assembly line. Best of all, the proceeds from the sales will benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), The United Way, and the notMYkid charity. If previous years are anything...

Filed under: Coupes , Auction Action , Dodge Once pricing for the Dodge Challenger broke last week, we knew it was simply a matter of time before the free market milking began. The first example comes courtesy of eBay , where a dealer from Atlanta, Texas has started an auction for the amount of cash you're willing to pay over the MSRP of the first Challenger SRT-8 they receive. They're nice enough to let you choose what options you'd like ( there aren't many ) and the bidding starts at $10,000, with a Buy It Now price of $18,990. So the question now is: how much is exclusivity worth to you? Thanks for the tip Peter. Read | Permalink | Email this | Comments

Filed under: Spy Photos , Auction Action , Dodge You might recall the speculation that surrounded Dodge's new CUV and what name it would take when it graced the show stand in Frankfurt. Sources claimed that the trucklet would carry a "Crew" badge, but when the wraps came off, the Journey was born. So much for reliable sources, right? Wrong. Brenda Priddy actually has in her possession a "Crew" nameplate that was acquired through her normal mischievous means, confirming the rumor that the name was changed just two weeks before its reveal in Germany. While it's an interesting story, what's even cooler is that Brenda will be auctioning off the one-of-a-kind "Crew" badge, some camouflage that covered the prototype and a handful of other espionage-related kit with all the proceeds going to a charity of your choice. You can read Brenda's full description of the items after the jump and place your bids over at eBay . Continue reading Priddy and Co...
