  • Truck Parts Inventory

GM Heavy Duty TruckTrucks were built for two reasons, moving heavy objects and trucking down the long dirt roads at break neck speeds. Because of this it is very easy for something to break or for loose, but who wants to spend lots of money for someone to do labor that takes five minutes and a part that they could get cheaper somewhere else?

For all your truck parts you need to visit Truck Parts Inventory. It has every truck part that you can think of. They have rear axles, transmissions, and all the important engine parts that you need at a price that it is affordable.

But they have so much more than engine parts. If you feel that the interior of your vehicle could be more comfortable or your grille could be more unique than they can give you what you want. They have everything you need to fix up your vehicle. From hoods and grilles to cab interiors and other cab parts.

All you have to do is pick what part you want, choose what vehicle it is for, and than they will show you what is available, how much it is, and where it is coming from. Get the part that you need at the cost that is reasonable. “Sponsored Post”

  • Nissan Gets Indian Truck Deal

2007 Nissan TruckJapan’s Nissan Motor Co. has teamed up with Indian truck and bus maker Ashok Leyland Ltd. to jointly manufacture small trucks and other light commercial vehicles in India using their truck parts.

The deal underscores Nissan’s growing interest in India, where demand for automobiles is rising fast thanks to robust economic growth. Nissan has lagged behind its Japanese rivals in tapping opportunities in India, both as a market and as a manufacturing base.

Leading Japanese automakers, including Toyota Motor Corp., Honda Motor Co., Suzuki Motor Corp., have significantly expanded their operations in India in recent years.

Nissan made its first move to enter India earlier this year, signing up for a passenger car venture with its partner, Renault SA of France, and Indian auto maker Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.

The three are building a large plant near the southern Indian city of Chennai, which Nissan would use to manufacture and export compact cars to Europe.

Nissan is also talking to other Indian automakers for a possible partnership to manufacture an ultracheap small car that could be sold for about US$3,000 in India and other emerging markets.

The latest deal with Ashok Leyland “will broaden our coverage of (Indian) market in addition to providing new LCV products for emerging markets,” Carlos Ghosn, Nissan’s President and CEO, said in the statement.

Under the deal, Ashok Leyland will own a majority stake in a joint venture with Nissan that will have the exclusive rights to make light commercial vehicles, LCVs, for both partners, the statement said.

This venture will initially produce at least 100,000 vehicles annually for sale in India and exports, it said.

Nissan will own a majority stake in a second joint venture company with Ashok Leyland that would manufacture and assemble engines and components for LCVs in India, the statement said.

“Ashok Leyland has strengths in large and mid-sized trucks, while Nissan’s strength lies in smaller vehicles. So we see a potential to supplement our strengths and create a positive synergy,” Nissan spokeswoman Ikue Matsuura said in Tokyo.

“Nissan also sees India as a key emerging market,” she said.

Nissan and Ashok Leyland will set up third joint venture focussed on developing technology and small trucks and mini buses for emerging markets, the notice said. It will be equally owned by the two companies.

Shares of Ashok Leyland rose 4.15 percent to 37.65 rupees in trading Wednesday.

“This partnership with Nissan, renowned for their product engineering and a wide range of LCV products, will allow Ashok Leyland to expand into the fast growing LCV segments in India,” R. Seshasayee, managing director at the Indian company, said in the statement.

Both companies are also studying cooperation in the area of sales and distribution, it said. This includes providing access for Nissan to Ashok Leyland’s dealer network in India and allowing the Indian partner to use Nissan’s dealer networks in select export markets.

The deal is subject to regulatory and corporate approvals, it said.

  • 2008 Chevy HHR SS Sets Itself Apart From The Crowd

2008 Chevy HHR SSThe new Chevy HHR SS is setting itself apart from the crowd and apart from the usual cars that Chevy makes. Ok so the outside may not be to different, but when it comes to what is lying under the hood…that’s where it counts.

The most important changes are the turbocharger and intercooler that reside under its hood. That’s because they boost power and torque from the 2.0-liter direct-injection Ecotec four to a stratospheric 260 horses and 260 pound-feet, as seen in the Pontiac Solstice GXP and Saturn Sky Red Line, all running through the front wheels.

This is a huge boost over the regular HHR’s 143-hp or 171-hp naturally aspirated four-cylinders and should keep the HHR SS very competitive with the upcoming 280-hp Dodge Caliber SRT4 in straight-line performance, once either vehicle manages to find traction through the fog of wheelspin and torque steer.

Once it gets a grip, though, GM says the HHR SS should be able to achieve a 0-to-60-mph sprint in 6.3 seconds or so, and the company is claiming a 150-plus-mph top speed when equipped with the five-speed manual transmission. There’s also a four-speed auto, but overall power drops to 235 horsepower if it’s fitted. So not only do you get the boring transmission, but you also get a horsepower penalty.

  • VW Golf Bluemotion To Be Seen At Frankfurt Auto Show

2008 Volkswagon Golf BluemotionVolkswagon is starting to create envirmental friendly vehicles that will make our lives a little bit easier. They have decided to show off their new Golf Bluemotion at the Frankfurt Auto Show, which is one of the the largest auto shows that is held. You can be sure that the new Bluemotion will be getting much exposure.

The Golf is the fourth Volkswagen to wear the new BlueMotion environmental badge on its radiator grille and rear hatch, identifying it as the most economical model in the range. The Golf BlueMotion is driven by a TDI with 77 kW / 105 PS and a hefty 250 Nm (184 lbs ft) of torque that has already achieved recognition as an efficient engine.

Its fuel consumption has been reduced by a full 0.6 liters compared to the original model. Similarly, CO2 emissions have been reduced from 135 g/km to 119 g/km. Actions taken on the BlueMotion make it so efficient that now distances of more than 1,200 kilometers are possible on just one Golf tank of fuel (55 liter). Market introduction of the Golf BlueMotion in Germany is scheduled for the end of this year.

Less apparent but no less necessary for a gain in economy are the thoroughly trimmed and thereby flow-optimized underbody as well as the nearly enclosed radiator grille. To ensure that the TDI engine still gets enough cooling air, the Golf BlueMotion has an effective dual fan. Thanks to aerodynamic design measures, including lowering of the chassis, the Golf’s cW value of 0.32, which in itself is a good value, was further improved to 0.30.

The base price of the Golf BlueMotion Trendline is 20,615 euro and this makes it just 315 euro more than the base price of a Golf 1.9 TDI Trendline. When adjustments are made for equipment options, the BlueMotion is even more economical than previous TDI versions with 105 PS and diesel particulate filter. Besides the aerodynamic modifications, standard equipment includes the Multifunctional Display Plus (MFA Plus) with gear recommendation arrow and sports suspension.

  • Chevrolet Captivates UK With New Captiva

Chevrolet CaptivaChevrolet is taking the UK by storm with its outstanding vehicles. The new Captiva is the newest vehicle that Chevrolet has released to the UK and it seems to be taking off with no problems. It may cost a steep £24,920, but it seems that you get your money’s worth and we mean that in every sense possible.

The Captiva 2.0d LTX looks fresh, muscular and compact for a seven-seat, four-wheel-drive soft-roader. This is Chevrolet’s first ever diesel and is one of the least industrial-sounding diesel engines on the market. The 1991cc common-rail unit hits all the right buttons. It’s turbocharged, as you’d expect given the Captiva’s load-lugging brief, and a Bosch direct injection system helps it to produce 147bhp at 4000rpm and a promising 236lb ft at just 2000rpm.

It is not particularly quick, the auto’ version takes 12.2 seconds to reach 60 mph (not 62 mph, note), but it is extremely refined, and at open-road speeds, the sound signature is no more obtrusive than that of a petrol engine.

Power is channelled to all four wheels on a part-time basis via a five-speed automatic gearbox, but a manual is also available for £1180 less. In normal running the Captiva is front-wheel drive, but when the car’s On Demand All-Wheel Drive system detects any slip whatsoever, the rear axle is deployed and it automatically becomes 4wd.Chevrolet Captiva Interior

Driven within sensible restraints it is smooth, comfortable and light to the touch. Where it perhaps fails in terms of ‘driveability’ is in its tendency to roll on corners; not to a pronounced degree but clearly the suspension is biased in favour of ride-quality rather than handling.

The Captiva is clearly a vehicle for the large families. It may look like an SUV, but in a sense it works like an MPV. The good thing about this SUV though is that it doesn’t eat gas up like crazy. That is definitely a plus in my book!
